As an archer, I was impressed by Maggie. I showed up early and she was ready to get the job done.

Fair prices and great selection on firearms and fishing supplies. Mathews bow shop, etc. Great place to shop and spend local.

Got a call saying it was done and ready for pickup. They cleaned the carbs and serviced the 30 year old engine and gave me a bill for more than $800 without ever telling me what they planned to do. I probably would have just put the money towards a new motor. Second, needed a small part and was assured it would be arriving in a day to two, in advance of this years fishing opener. 5 days later, no part, no phone call. Weeks later, no part, no phone call. But they took payment for it. Would not recommend!

Almost every time we have used them, we seem to have trouble with them. This last time tops the list. We had our boat in there and they repaired a water pump, adjusted the carburetor, and repaired the lower unit after we hit a deadhead. They said it was all fixed and ready to go except for the prop that we had ordered. When my husband was trying to put on the prop, he realized that they had not given him a part back that they had taken off when they had taken off the old prop. He also realized they had not put in the plug for the gear oil which means they did not put in any gear oil. Then, we took our boat up to Blackduck for a week of vacation and put the boat in the water and found out the mechanic did not put the shift shaft back together correctly so the motor would not go into gear. Luckily, we found a mechanic in Bemidji who was willing to help us and fix the inept job Supreme Marine did so we only lost three days of our vacation instead of all seven.

They asked us to leave the keys with the boat and sent us on our way! When we went to pickup the boat and asked for the keys they said they shrinkwrap them IN THE BOAT and said that's what they do, but didn't tell us, the customer who have our trailer lock keys with the boat key! I asked for a discount to buy a new lock and they said, "NO" and that's on a $500plus bill, and that was the "service manager"! Oh, I did sit on hold twice today waiting to check the status of the boat...once for 17minutes, hung up and later for 23 minutes! They did expedite the service today, so that's why I gave them 3 and not 2 stars. Be aware your keys get shrinkwrapped inside and they don't think they need to tell you that!

We had just purchased a pontoon and trailer in the Scandia area and were heading back home to Buffalo. We knew the trailer tires were in bad shape but thought we could make it home slowly, especially since we had a spare. About ten miles into our trip, a tire blew out. After putting on the spare, we knew our chances of making it the rest of the way were slim to none. We found Hallberg Marine was only nine miles away and didn't require getting on the freeway, so we limped over there. When we walked in, we saw three people talking. It was a Saturday afternoon, and my phone had indicated they were open. A woman asked what we needed, and we explained our difficult situation. She informed us that they were actually closed for inventory and couldn't help. We asked about other options nearby, but it seemed we were out of luck. Just as we were losing hope, one of the gentlemen, Matt Dervie, spoke up. He asked if we could change the tires ourselves if we had the parts. "Absolutely," we said, having just changed the first one. He motioned for us to follow him and proceeded to get us set up with four new tires and rims. We were so incredibly grateful to him for going out of his way when he didn't have to. After he helped us cart the new tires out to our trailer, he had us pull over to another building where he brought out a floor jack for us to use! Thanks to Matt's outstanding and sympathetic service, we were back on the road in less than an hour. He truly saved the day for us and turned what would have been a terrible experience into an incredibly positive one. Thank you, Matt, for your exceptional help!

We tried to bring it back, but it was a month until they'd look at it and were curt and rude whenever we called. They had the boat for several days and called to say it was fixed. We brought it back and it leaked gasoline heavily and they said bring it back in. They had replaced the gas line. When they got it back they fooled with the fuel pump and it changed nothing. Then they said it was the carburetor and they would try to get one, but then called and said there were no carburetors available for that motor. They initially charged us $610 (which we paid) then wanted to charge us another $200 and would give us our boat until we gave them cash. We tried to give them a credit card, but they said when they accepted a credit card in that situation, people stopped payment. Really!!! My neighbor said he ordered an outboard motor from them earlier this year but he needed it by mid May. He called over and over and they kept saying it wasn't in yet. Then they said it came in and they sold it to someone else. He got a motor the end of June. We and our neighbor will never do any business with them. Arlene B.
