We finally get a room and opened the refrigerator and there was black mold inside of the door stripping and the freezer was a block of ice that needed to be defrosted. The complimentary breakfast was not good the 4 slice toaster was broken and the other toaster handles that you push down were missing. Most people usually don't like to work out on vacations so hotels try to get away with putting 3 dumbbells and an elliptical in a room and claiming they offer a "gym" on their facilities. This place was much better than usual! I got a great workout in before the festivities There is also a nice indoor pool with a hot tub that my kids took full advantage of. They had a lot of fun with all the other kids at the hotel. Room was nice and spacious and there was a private balcony that led to the back of the cabin with a nice view of the woods. Only reason we didn't hit that 5 star was because of the weird layout. The rooms were at a different location from all the amenities so after we were done swimming, we kinda had to wrap up and walk in the freezing cold to the other area to reach our room. The bathroom was also kinda small Other than that, it was a great stay! The staff was super friendly and we were very comfortable.

It was my first time staying at a hotel vs staying with family, and I'd definitely consider this option again. The hotel is located right downtown, within walking distance of main streets. They have a fitness room, but the equipment is old and some of it wasn't functioning well. They put out a good breakfast spread with actual hot food and plenty of choices. The only real off thing about my whole stay was that the morning I stayed they had omelettes that contained tiny pieces of sausage and it wasn't labeled as containing meat - which as a vegetarian I wasn't thrilled about. When I brought this up to a staff member they were a little dismissive. Beyond that one interaction though, everything here was quite nice and I'd be happy to stay here again. Actually, I'm quite excited that I have such a nice option and am going to make this a go-to whenever I need a hotel in the area. :)
