Cappo's do a lot of trade to the restaurant and catering industry, and I can remember a time (god, showing my age here, next I'll be saying "When I was a kid...") when it was a cash only trade selling a lot of offcuts of fish and broken prawns from the back door of the factory.
These days it's a world apart, in fact strolling through the store just before Christmas I'd have to say it's one of the better seafood stores in Adelaide now - a tremendous range of fresh and snap frozen fish and seafood, and some truly beautiful prawns. Plenty of staff were on hand, partly due to the proximity to Christmas, I imagine, but they've worked out a good flowthrough for the store - and have all the associated extra's you're likely to need to prepare the produce - garlic, ginger, spices, oils, sauces, coatings abound as you approach the row of checkouts.
Parking is good - for the silly season long weekends of Christmas & Easter it gets a little hectic, but otherwise there's plenty of space in the car park, even at it's busiest on Saturday mornings. read more
