First experience was a bit frustrating. Being new to the area, I needed a primary care physician and this one was close by and had great ratings on a physician ranking site. I made an appointment and was told to show up 15 minutes early to fill out forms.
I showed up 10 minutes early (I like to live life on the wild side) and when I got the tablet device they use for their forms (paperless office, that's cool) every single seat in the waiting room was occupied. I had to stand near the door for 15 minutes tapping away at this tablet while I waited for someone to get called back. Eventually I was able to sit, which is a nice thing because I sat there for a full hour before being called back. I even had to get up and ask if they forgot me because by this time the waiting room was completely empty save for one other person. They said they were just backed up. So... I showed up early, I was admitted to an exam room over an hour after I had shown up, and was told "Sorry, we're running behind today." Also, I didn't even get to see the doctor, I saw the ARNP (who was pleasant) and was then referred to a specialist after about 6 minutes in the exam room, then shown out the door.
If it is truly not usually that busy and that backed up, I'll revise my review next time. If I have to sit in the waiting room for another freaking hour, I'm firing my doctor and going somewhere else. My time is valuable too, I'd like to feel like the service providers I choose to give my money to respect it. read more
