So we checked out Modesto farmer's market the following weekend and viola, this is what we were looking for. Plenty of choices and quite a nice variety. I LOVE ALMONDS…read more Found these guys at the Civic Center farmers market that's right outside my school. Walked by and they had SO MANY ALMONDS. Oh my god they had a lot of almonds. I love the Applewood Smoked ones.. they taste like bacon. They have their usualy 4/$20 deal so I decided to pick a bunch of randoms. I tested the raspberry and sesame seed ones and I kinda liked them so I decided to get them too and then threw in some trail mix to fill in that last spot. I shouldn't've filled in the last spot with trail mix because the almonds were roasted and were very soft and had an unattractive texture in my mouth. The almonds in the trail mix are nowhere near the quality of the almonds in those.. amazing.. applewood.. smoked.. almonds. (Just my preference, I'm sure there are people that love the soft almonds just as much as the hard ones.) This is the only place I come to get flavored almonds. They're definitely my favorite :D

The staff is always so kind, super sweet and helpful. I've had so many good conversations! I do a lot of canning and I make a lot of pepper jelly and fruit jam, WITH the produce J&J Ramos farms harvest. It's always the best experience when we come out here.

It's a good place to meet friends and family and support the vendors who were hit hard by the shut down. There was strawberries, cherries, beets, peaches, fresh flowers, and succulents among the choices. Four stars for less produce than Modesto, but maybe that will change it's still early in the season. I also like that it's an evening market versus a morning like Modesto.

They have a lot of options in there, and they definitely take up every bit of the space in the store. There's plenty of parking there. We arrived around 8:15am, and we were abit disappointment in the trees as most of the blossoms have fallen off. We walked further down into the farm, and then we found some of the trees still have some blossoms. It looked like snow covered because of the fallen flower petals. We had a lovely time taking pictures and little videos. Because of the time restraint, we didn't visit the farm stand. I would definitely visit the next time I go. It's free to visit. I definitely recommend going to the Secret Garden afterwards for a lovely brunch/lunch/or dinner.
