Maintenance was always prompt with our requests and our problems were fixed quickly. It's kind of a loud area, lots of sirens many of the days. Having Farine + Four below us was always a wonderful treat when we wanted some coffee or a snack. The gym is very simple and small. Usually if there's more than 3 people in there at once, it feels crowded. Our apartment is very modern, very new and has wonderful amenities. The balcony we had was no wider than 1 foot, so we only had space to put plants. But other balconies were larger and could fit chairs. Bathroom storage is wonderful. Lots of drawers. Kitchen storage is really good. Plenty of space to hold all pots, pans, plates, cups and bowls. Overall, very nice and accommodating!

Was repeatedly threatened by mgmt with eviction (with notice) from the time I moved in to the time…read morethey sold based on false claims that I was using industrial equipment in my apartment. I repeatedly told them I was using a blow dryer and blender and begged them to come out and see how thin the walls were and see if anything could be done to fix the problem and they refused saying apartment management was a work from home job. Turns out they forgot to drywall over the top 4 feet of brickwork in the apt to the left. I was told it didn't matter if I was making normal noise and it was during the day. So I became terrified to sew which I do for a living, to have people over to socialize or do anything in my apartment lest my neighbors complain. Meanwhile when I complained my new upstairs neighbor was loud and my apartment causing leaks into my apartment every 7-10 days for months (eventually flooding my workspace) they took her side saying it was a construction issue and their hands were tied bc they can't control repair timelines. This was even after the plumber said she had to be putting 20 gallons of water on the floor and she admitted to spilling a large amount of water. The neighbor who was falsely accusing me of using industrial equipment moved. They sold the building. I've stayed in my apartment and have had no problems with neighbors or management since.

Ok, I'm coming back to update my review. My experience…read moreliving here has improved SIGNIFICANTLY. They managed to fix the issue that was causing the elevators to not work. I was skeptical - but now it has been a little over a year and there has not been a single time I have experienced a problem with it. This is a huge deal. Before this fix, it had been routinely out of service, usually one or two WEEKS each month. So, my biggest problem with the place has been taken care of. I do hear people complain about issues with appliances, etc, and that management is not responsive to these. We have had problems with burnt-out bulbs in the hallway that we submitted multiple requests for replacements for before they were fixed. The place really would benefit from some deeper cleaning and upkeep of hallway carpets, etc. I am happy with the place, though I do have to say that if I was in an apartment building that looked like this in any other part of town, I would not be. But the location is exactly where I want to be, the view from my place is gorgeous, so the other things don't really bother me. I am just giving 3 stars though because I think that not everyone would feel the same. My apartment is large and comfortable. It would really be lovely with some new carpet and appliances but I think the rent would be a lot higher if this happened. It is a very affordable place for this lovely part of town. And I do REALLY recommend parking in the Park Omaha garage across the street rather than the parking garage that's in the basement here. I think it's about the same price.

I reached out directly to management and respectfully requested a personal review so I could clarify the situation and I even provided documentation. Unfortunately, they did not take the time to look into my concerns at all. It felt like my explanation was completely dismissed, and my application was denied without any real consideration or investigation. I understand that background checks are part of the process, but there should be some level of fairness and willingness to review potential errors, especially when an applicant is proactive about addressing them. This experience left me feeling unheard and disappointed in their management and application process. Also side note: I get background checks often due to my profession and have never had issues before.

Beginning mid-year in 2025, a cockroach infestation began and I have been battling to keep my living conditions safe since. In combination with the constantly rotating management, animal urine in the elevator, dog feces in the hallways, sketchy elevator conditions, homeless people knocking on my door (who have managed to get into the hallways), and cockroach infestations, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I would have attached a photo of a trap I have made with a sticky label but I am unsure how to on Yelp. It is a photo of a trap loaded with female cockroaches. Nobody should live here, especially students or women living alone, and I encourage staff to try because maybe they would have more empathy regarding the building. Because of the high rates of disturbances and criminals living at The Muse, there is a consistent turnover rate, because of this, most apartments on my floor are AirBNBs which curates those who are loud and destructive. The outdoor has a latch that is broken and doesn't work properly, which allows homeless people to sleep in the mail rooms and to get inside to the corridors and inner areas, there is no proper-working security and be prepared to defend yourself and your belongings at night time. Taking out the trash is a flat rate while we are expected to bring it to the dumpster ourselves, which could be very difficult for anyone who has any type of physical condition. Management lies to new tenants about the conditions of the apartment, no loyalty exists to their long-time renters. Not to mention how expensive it is for a tiny cubicle that doesn't have proper utilities functioning.
