The Capitol Burger! 10 ounces baby!
    Mach Z.

Was out in Middleton and had to grab a bite - I think there were 3 choices - Chinese, Pub food & Greco... I decided to go to the dive, cuz y'know that's where all the best food is!....or is it?....apparently not always. Service was prompt, but as soon as we walked in (at supper time on a saturday) there was maybe one other table. It was a ghost town - we probably should've just left after we saw that, but we stayed. Got our drinks and I started with Nachos and had the Capitol Burger special. The nachos were probably one of the worst I've ever had - huge rings of red onion, bland tortilla chips and not much of anything else. Sigh, it wasn't a good start. Then my burger came - if that's what you wanna call it. it was the size of my head clocking in at 10 ounces! The thing was a beast to say the least. Unfortunately, that was the only good thing it had going for it. The burger itself was really bland and toppings were mediocre. You're probably asking why a 2 star rating instead of 1? Well, to be honest, the burger was huge - that's a feat itself - but the other thing that was really good were the home cut fries. Crispy and delicious, they deserve some praise.

Meat Omelette, hollandaise sauce, home-fries, white toast.

Place was clean, spaced out, covid friendly. The server Katelyn was polite and quick. The food was delicious and worth the menu prices. Coffee was strong and delicious, we didn't feel rushed and the they have a brunch menu until 2pm, and quite the selection. Food was in abundance and hot. Oh and they have outdoor seating avail too. My compliment to the staff and cheid

This might be the best restaurant I have ever ate at. The service was great and the food was amazing.

It's a little hard to start this review as my thoughts are just as much all over the map as this…read moreplace is. It's brand new and in the space of an old antique shop so I'll give the benefit of the doubt and assume there will be some finessing of details here. First, we stopped in because it's supposed to be a bakery so we were going to get a treat to eat. From the get-go, the giant sand parking lot isn't very appealing especially when people are stirring it up in your face as they pull into the lot or leave. There are also some awkwardly placed picnic benches crammed into the corner of the property so expect to be trampling into the weeds if you're going to sit at one. Also - no umbrellas and again, a bunch of dust while you are eat/sit. Going in, it was quite confusing. We didn't realize this is a sit down restaurant but they also have ice cream and they sell baked goods. We assumed a bakery would have a nice selection of items but there is a weird two-sided shelf with very poorly displayed mediocre looking baked goods. Everything here is wrapped in plastic and it doesn't look overly appealing. There are also a few trays on the very awkward counter but we opted to just pass on the baked goods as nothing really looked worthwhile so we bought a few drinks and decided to leave. Paying is another interesting event here as there's nowhere to even put your purchases and wallet down while you pay, adding to the oddity of the place. We were shocked at such an extensive menu for a brand new place that bills itself as a bakery. Chicken dinner? A little odd. It seems like way too many things are going on at once here for anything to actually be done great. Overall, we did not have a good first impression and we definitely won't be rushing back. If you're craving good, quality baking, drive a few more minutes down the road to Bee's Knees where you'll get the real goods!

Finally someone in the Valley who can make REAL food and not shut down for the 'winter'! Great year…read moreround hours open Wednesday to Sunday, 11 AM - 8 PM. We have been excited to try this spot since it opened in the fall but it was always super busy but the wait was well worth it. This is a take out so if it's off-season, expect to sit in your car to wait for your food or pre-order ahead of time if you want it ready when you show up. You get a little buzzer to take to your car if you do choose to wait, so it's a great system. In the summer, there is a lot of outdoor seating at picnic benches. The chicken shawarma was massive and delicious! Fresh ingredients and fluffy pita bread. Good bang for your buck. The 'hot' fish was also really good but not actually spicy. The only things I'd suggest the owner to change is to make the sauce less runny to avoid making the fish batter soggy and to switch from shredded to leaf lettuce - it would make less of a mess. We got fries to share but we could have done without. They're nice and crispy and not overly salty. Quite a few fun 'maritime' options on the menu that we will be back to try like lobster sandwich and lobster poutine. It's nice to finally see someone investing in the area with good food. The area really doesn't need another deep fried, overly battered greasy fish and chips place so this is very welcomed. Super accessible right on the highway. Lots of parking. Looking forward to seeing what else the owners do with the place!
