Her first week was absolutely packed with fun activities. They did tie-dye, a color run, and even took a hike to the park. She absolutely loved it, and it felt like there was always something going on. The second week was a little different. There didn't seem to be as many planned activities, and she mentioned having quite a bit more downtime. It wasn't necessarily bad, but after such a fun and activity-filled first week, I think we were both expecting a little more. The campus itself is really nice, and one thing I appreciated was that there weren't a ton of kids in her camp group. I want to say there were around eight kids, which made it feel smaller and more personal. They also had a really fun potluck, and I've heard they sometimes take bike rides to a local coffee shop, which sounds like such a fun little adventure for the kids. Overall, my daughter enjoyed her time there, especially that first week. I just wish the activities had been a little more consistent from week to week. If both weeks had been like the first one, this easily would have been a 5-star experience. Helpful tip: If you're signing your child up for multiple weeks, just know that the activities may vary quite a bit depending on the week.

No one is a number here. Faculty and staff know students well and are very invested in students' intellectual and emotional growth. The school has a wonderful theater program and everyone who wishes to participate may. This is also the case for all other extracurricular offerings -- Speech and Debate, Athletics, etc. I don't think enough people are aware this wonderful school is here, and that needs to change. This is the kind of school that changes and enriches your life.

I'm very disappointed with our experience. It's a very…read moreimportant first experience for children especially. The teacher and a parent volunteer had made my son feel self conscious about himself and going to school. I had 2-3 meetings withe the director, sue jas, and 1 appointment with cynthia w the school board somebody who was not concerned with how my son was treated. She had a very greedy attitude. They tried to sweep it under the rug and we're parents that aren't having it. So now i have to find another school or homeschool. They did not have a "CHRISTIAN" attitude. Soooo disappointed with the problem solving skills. They are entrusted with peoples children.

The teachers really care about the kids and strive for good communication between themselves and the parents. The campus feels safe and is constantly updated with new toys and play structures for the kids. I would highly recommend this school/program to anyone!

I attended Albert Einstein Middle school from 2001 to 2003. The change from being a sixth grader,…read morecarelessly roaming the playground to being a lowly seventh grader in a big new school was difficult for many of us. However, the school provided many programs and extracurricular activities to help ease the transition. MUSIC/EXTRACURRICULAR: I was an orchestra kid. The orchestra was a lot smaller, but we managed. Instruments were provided for students. The teacher was patient and taught us the essentials of reading music while teaching us how to play the instruments. We'd perform at a few music festivals during the year. From what I remember, the band program had a lot of support from the school and parents. They were well-funded and they performed in Disneyland in the spring. There were a lot of clubs on campus, too. You could always find one to cater to your interests and hobbies. ACADEMICS: Academics were rigorous, at least, for the classes I had. I think class placement was based on standardized test scores, because we had the equivalent of honors classes. My teachers were amazing with the level of enthusiasm they displayed to their students. If anyone has had Mr. Green, you knooow what I mean! A lot of my favorite teachers transferred to Rosemont High School in 2004, so you can find them there!! :]] FOOD: Before the health craze started in 2002, the cafeteria had chicken wings, fruit snacks, cup-o-noodles, Its-Its ice cream, more ice cream, chips, and soda. The hot food was the usual stuff served in all the school districts. Then BAM!!! Everything disappeared to be replaced with baked chips and juice. I understand the concern for eating healthy, but when you're an adolescent, it just suuuucked. The chicken wings were always super delicious. I weep for their loss :[ TREATS: Seventh grade trip to Country Club Lanes. Eighth grade promotion trip to Six Flags. We also had the typical school dances in the cafeteria. Overall, Einstein provided a safe environment :] Two years at the school passed by quickly and before I knew it, i was off to high school! :X

My step-son is brilliant but undisciplined and he was allowed to "graduate" sixth grade without doing any work at all and only getting "1's" and "2's" his whole career there. My oldest step-child would've succeeded anywhere anyhow and still does..... My fifth grade daughter has had much the same experience as my son until this year. This year I've been heavily involved and her teacher is very communicative and the difference has been huge. The school goes on wonderful field trips in every grade. The music program is awesome, my daughter has class for 30min 3x's/week and is learning quickly. The office staff are typically rude. The parking lot ( pickup / drop off ) is well managed and there is a great focus on child safety and using crosswalks. There's also a crossing guard and a " lighted?" Crosswalk just for school goers. P.E. is not a large focus but I believe funding is gone for health at most elementry schools. The children do have a large field, two playgrounds, ball courts, basketball courts and a basebal / kickball backstop. The surrounding area is typical for the city except that there is an outpatient psychiatric facility about 1 mile up mission avenue. There are people often in the area that " act weird " but I've heard of nothing harmful from them. I would rather my daughter been in a different school for all previous years but I am happy with her, her teacher and myself right. I wouldn't choose to enroll another child in this school but I'm alright with my daughter finishing out this year there.

The teachers and helpers are the best I have ever seen. They genuinely care about the well-being of every child. They are patient, kind, loving and can get down on the Childs level to help them learn and understand different areas in which the kids need guidance. My son asks each and every morning (weekend too) if he is going to school today. The fact that he loves going to school and learning social skills with other children and having such a positive bunch of role models around my son while I'm at work is priceless. One of my favorite aspects of this daycare center, is the fact that they pray with the children. They are a religious centered daycare, and for me and my family that is extremely important. When my son comes home from school and can pray at the dinner table without being prompted to, is such a heartwarming feeling. I can't say enough how much I appreciate this daycare center. I highly recommend this place.

There's a lot of things that this school can improve on, specifically for the older kids. The teaching left my son way behind academically during freshman year. The education here is not well and the school is poor, with fundraisers popping up often. The faculty is negligent as well. I've heard that the junior high teachers make students stand outside and wait outside for long periods of time as well. The school mostly does fun things for the younger students, completely ruining the fun for the older kids. This school claims it's inclusive, but my son's comments say otherwise. I would not send my kids here at all, poor teaching and clearly does not care for the older children.

When looking for a day care we asked friends AND also looked for a place where we wouldn't feel judged (do all parent's feel they might be screwing up?) When we started her at Country Hill Montessori her language skills were mediocre, she wasn't very social, and both my wife and I were quite worried. Our worries were ultimately unfounded as from the first day the teachers and staff were extremely patient (both with us and our daughter). She was understandably upset but everyone went out of their way to reassure us AND console her. Over the next week or two she started feeling more and more comfortable and over a year later she actually enjoys going to "school". She has multiple teachers and teacher aides that she adores - and our experience is that ALL of the staff and teachers are wonderful and insanely patient. I'd mention them all but I figure they'll know who they are without mentioning them one by one. At present our daughters language skills have improved exponentially, she has "friends" that she asks about, and we couldn't be happier. While my wife looks forward to when our daughter will move on some day, I find myself wishing we'd never have to :)
