There are way too many fights at this school. My child goes here and is always coming home with a story about some fight that happened that day. It's even worse seeing this IG page dedicated to fights at this school, and no one does anything about it. Besides that, the teachers seem to be good. I went to this school in the early '70s. In the gym class they would separate the boys and girls. The boys would get beaten with a wooden paddle by COACH YOUNG. All the boys would do is step over the line in the game of bombardment and they would get beaten. The coaches would have the boys pound on the floor like a sick ritualistic practice. I AM 62 YEARS AND IT STILL AFFECTS US. HOW COULD THIS SCHOOL LET COACH YOUNG ABUSE THE BOYS? He would pull the boys out of the shower bare naked and beat them for stepping over the line 20 minutes earlier. WHY? WHY? WHY DID THIS SCHOOL LET THIS GO ON? read more

I attended Albert Einstein Middle school from 2001 to 2003. The change from being a sixth grader, carelessly roaming the playground to being a lowly seventh grader in a big new school was difficult for many of us. However, the school provided many programs and extracurricular activities to help ease the transition. MUSIC/EXTRACURRICULAR: I was an orchestra kid. The orchestra was a lot smaller, but we managed. Instruments were provided for students. The teacher was patient and taught us the essentials of reading music while teaching us how to play the instruments. We'd perform at a few music festivals during the year. From what I remember, the band program had a lot of support from the school and parents. They were well-funded and they performed in Disneyland in the spring. There were a lot of clubs on campus, too. You could always find one to cater to your interests and hobbies. ACADEMICS: Academics were rigorous, at least, for the classes I had. I think class placement was based on standardized test scores, because we had the equivalent of honors classes. My teachers were amazing with the level of enthusiasm they displayed to their students. If anyone has had Mr. Green, you knooow what I mean! A lot of my favorite teachers transferred to Rosemont High School in 2004, so you can find them there!! :]] FOOD: Before the health craze started in 2002, the cafeteria had chicken wings, fruit snacks, cup-o-noodles, Its-Its ice cream, more ice cream, chips, and soda. The hot food was the usual stuff served in all the school districts. Then BAM!!! Everything disappeared to be replaced with baked chips and juice. I understand the concern for eating healthy, but when you're an adolescent, it just suuuucked. The chicken wings were always super delicious. I weep for their loss :[ TREATS: Seventh grade trip to Country Club Lanes. Eighth grade promotion trip to Six Flags. We also had the typical school dances in the cafeteria. My daughter started the year here during 19-20. Yep Covid. The teachers were amazing doing their best through distant learning and trying to help everyone that they could. They even found a way to make it so that the robotics could continue. When school opened again the teachers continued and honestly I've never had my daughter do so well at school. She is already talking to people and is thrilled to be going back. read more

Last night was my last performance of Much Ado About Nothing in the punk a play but Shakespeare. Sacramento theather co. Pairs up to co produce and direct plays. Albert Einstein Middle School is a good place to be a kid! When the school district informed me one week before school began in 2012 that my son, in special education for kids with autism, would be attending his 8th grade year at Einstein, I was nervous. No experience with this school, and little time to look into it. The first thing I noticed is that the principal (I didn't know it was him until later) waited at teh corner every morning to greet students walking to school! And the vice-principal greeted students nearer the campus. They made TIME in their days to make contact with students, instead of hiding out in the office! I never saw the school dirty, I met so many staff that were pleasant, helpful, and again, took the TIME to talk to me and address my thoughts and concerns. My 7th grade daughter also attended Einstein last year, to make the morning commute more simple, and she had a wonderful experience. Good teachers, who really challenged the students but also kept the learning fun and interesting, students seem to thrive at Einstein. And the school is diverse, like the rest of the world - a big banner hangs in the cafeteria that says 'Everyone Belongs", and it was true. My son attended his first after school dance, and dispite his disability and separation from much of the student population, two different young ladies greeted him. He was never bullied or harrassed, two of my big concerns. Einstein is a good school. read more
