Sarah answered my call and was very attentive from the start. She offered many options, and as soon as I arrive, checked me in swiftly. Very attentive and professional. Brenda was quick to come in the waiting room, and Dr. Allen was fantastic with explaining everything. This is the only place I will ever come for an emergency! They immediately took my baby into the oxygen chamber and offered different options. Kelli from ATL was attentive as we

BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR BABIES! They are money hungry! My baby went in for liver surgery. She was hospitalized for 5 days on the 6th day I took her home. I noticed her paw was black. I didn't think much as it was the IV paw. The second day it was complete gashed open. The pictures are In order with the last being 9/5/24 (today) Once I approached Chelsea the "manager" I was informed she would not financially support my complaints and they they were doing me a favor by not charging me for wound care THAT THEY CAUSED.

This is a great emergency vet clinic with friendly and caring employees. We had to transfer our male cat to them after it was discovered he had a urinary blockage. The wait time was not bad and they got him in with urgency. The employees called me frequently with updates and I felt secure and happy with leaving my cat in their care. The vet bill is always higher than we want but surprisingly I felt the prices were fair and as expected. I hope to not have to bring any of my other pets to the ER again but if I do I would choose to come back here. My cat is doing well and fully recovered from his urinary issues.

I've read good and bad reviews about this place!! But I loved it, my dog was a regular for over 3 weeks!! I mean prices are insane but my vet was actually more money! The workers were super nice!! My poor Blue was attacked by 2 dogs and had to get stitches in her paw, within 24 hours it was infected. Now from my first to 2nd visit I feel like whoever took care of her the first time felt like they could of done better( my opinion). But I'm super pleased about how everything went in her recovery there. The only thing is I wish I could see where my dog is and how things go in the back but other then that I would definitely go back.

I called first, and the person who answered was calm, kind, and compassionate, and told me to bring her right in. When I arrived, the doctor was in surgery, but the staff immediately made Greta comfortable and took care of her while we waited. As soon as the doctor was available, he came to see her. He was direct and honest: there were things they could do, but she would not get better. Her nervous system was failing. He didn't pressure me. He asked what I wanted for her. I didn't want Greta to be in pain anymore. He explained the euthanasia process clearly and respectfully. They set up an IV and moved us to a small, quiet room with low lighting and a couch, then gave us privacy so I could say goodbye. When I was ready, the doctor came back and gently gave her the injection. Afterward, they explained my options and let me decide what to do with her body. I chose to take her home. They wrapped her in a blanket, placed her carefully in a bag, and carried her out to my car for me. We didn't even talk about cost until the very end - and I was honestly surprised. The total was $230, which felt more than reasonable given the care, time, and compassion involved. Especially since this all occured in the middle of the night. This was a very difficult moment. VEG handled it with dignity, kindness, and professionalism from start to finish. I'm deeply grateful to the entire team, even though I don't remember names. They did right by my dog - and by me.

They have taken such wonderful care of Abby, especially after her major foot surgery. From the moment we walked in, the staff was compassionate, patient, and truly committed to helping her heal. They explained every step of her treatment clearly, kept us informed, and treated Abby like she was their own. Her recovery has been smoother and less stressful because of the attention and expertise they provided. It's rare to find a veterinary team that combines skill with such genuine kindness, but this clinic absolutely does. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they've done for Abby. It is a fact that pet care costs money. Some of the negative reviews regarding conduct are…read moreconcerning to me and I believe those reviewers, and would feel as they do. But the reviews of people shocked and complaining about vet bills are bizarre to me because I expect to spend at least $1000 per year on each of my 8 pets, ON NON-EMERGENCY VET BILLS ALONE (before food, petsitting, emergencies, etc.). When you commit to parenting a pet, find out the true cost of care before you take on the responsibility of another life. How do I afford this? I prioritize the joy of having pets over fancy dinners out, or designer clothes/latest tech/car/material showiness, or grooming (hair, nails) I can do at home, or any other unnecessary indulgences that mean far less to me than my animals! So case in point, in the middle of our family vacation 800 miles from home, our dog had an emergency not once but twice! First time was 3:30am on Christmas morning and that's another review with another vet, but the second time was terrifying bloody stool the day before NYE, and nope, not messing around to see if it just goes away. Fun activity stopped and our furry family member was rushed 3 hours round trip to the closest ER Vet, Robinson. Robinson was able to take us immediately. Everyone's fear was a blockage (risky expensive surgery), but imaging showed nothing. 4 panels of bloods revealed no major insights, which is always frustrating when you're in 4 figures of bills, but Dr. Robinson hit us with Cerenia, fluids and multiple antibiotics to knock out suspected parasites from sea water. They urged an overnight but we needed to get home to Philly and hope for the best. Our anxious rescue dog would not have done well away from us anyway. They gave sub-Q fluids and sent him home. The antibiotics did their job, thank God, and each day our pup improved to 100% just 3 days later. The prices were standard for emergency vet hospitals where we live in Philadelphia. It's great if there are places in the Jax area that are cheaper but vacationing in Jekyll, Robinson is 30min closer than any other emergency vet and if your emergency is that urgent, 30min makes a difference. So I accept the decisions we made in the best interest for our pet with what was available for our situation. The only negative was I felt a bit patronized and spoken to as though I don't have the brains or experience I do having had so many pets. That kind of attitude doesn't build trust, especially in an urgent situation. Yes, as another reviewer mentioned, the EN at $9+/can could easily be cheaper, and I'd have appreciated that. But this is standard for emergency vets and I've experienced many as financial custodian of 16 pets in my adult life. It costs money to be open all night and weekends when no one else is, and to house equipment that allows you to perform hospital functions. Do they need the fancy logo folders, bags, etc.? No. I'd rather not pay that overhead, but it is what it is. When you walk into a restaurant you don't argue the menu. In the end, for $1400, I got what I needed, a dog with restored health, and for that I am grateful. Thank you, Dr. Robinson.

We made the hour drive to Fernandina because we were told this was the best option for emergency care. Our bird was screaming in distress and clearly appeared to be in significant pain. When we arrived, they took her immediately, placed her in her small carrier inside an oxygen tank, and left her there. She continued screaming. We waited two hours before speaking with anyone. We were told she was "doing better" and had stopped screaming. I asked to see her, and when we were brought to the back, we could immediately hear her still screaming. When I got to her cage, she still appeared to be in pain. In total, she was screaming for a minimum of four hours without meaningful intervention beyond being placed in oxygen. We were told they would perform bloodwork and X-rays the next day. The following day, we were told bloodwork had not been done because she became agitated, which is understandable--but there was no communication about trying again later. Later, we were told X-rays were done and that bloodwork had also been completed. After 2.5 days, we were told she was doing much better and ready to go home on medication. While driving an hour and a half from Jacksonville to pick her up, I received a call saying there was now a new treatment plan that would cost an additional $1,000-$1,500 (bringing the total to around $3,000), and that she would need to stay longer--despite just being told she was ready to go home. When I asked about the results of the bloodwork and X-rays, they still did not have answers. We chose to pick her up anyway. After getting home, I received only the X-ray images--there was no written report--and no bloodwork results were ever provided, despite being told it had been done. Overall, it felt like very little was actually done for her during the 2.5 days she was there beyond being placed in a cage and minimally handled. We still have no clear diagnosis or answers, and she is not acting like herself. The medication has left her very sedated, and now we will have to seek care elsewhere and incur additional costs. Looking back, I wish I had taken her somewhere else sooner. This was a stressful, expensive experience that did not provide the care, communication, or follow-through we expected.

We will never be able to fully express our gratitude, though I think they could tell how happy we were at our follow-up appointment! To the entire staff at ECoVets Veterinary Specialists--the doctors, nurses, front desk, surgery scheduler, and everyone behind the scenes--thank you. From the initial consultation through surgery and the follow-up calls, your care and compassion have been absolutely top-notch. The best news: We got clean margins! By day 6 of recovery, Kirby was determined to eat on her own. After a lot of rest during the first 10 days, we've now fast-forwarded to week 4, and she is doing amazing. She is back to barking, playing with her brother, eating her soft food, and carrying around her soft toys (her babies). She is adjusting beautifully to her new little mouth, and we are truly amazed by her resilience. None of this would have been possible without Dr. Darrow and his incredible staff.
