I have been enduring a pain in my lower back, probably due to a protruding disc suffered years ago…read more Pain while standing, walking, etc. My primary doc recommended physical therapy. Having been to more than a few physical therapists due to an active life style (when I was younger !) I was skeptical of receiving any relief from the pain I experienced daily. Seeking something different from my previous physical therapy routines, I did some research, and discovered Core Physical Therapy. What a difference ! I had an appointment with Jill, and from the first meeting, I knew this was going to have a positive outcome. Jill checked my alignment every session, and then did hands on manipulation on my back, neck, and stomach. I improved after every visit, and on my last session, Jill stretched me like a pretzel, we both heard a pop, and she said " I think I fixed it ". Guess what, she did ! It has been some time now, and I am constantly amazed at how good I feel. I wanted too say how pleased I was with Jill during my therapy, but I was afraid she would become too much in demand, and I would have a problem getting an appointment with her. Overall, an extremely positive experience with Core Physical Therapy, from the front office remembering my name upon arrival and cleaning the therapy room, to the phone and e-mail reminders the day before an appointment. Should be your go to place if you need physical therapy, best in the area.

Well it has been a few years since my last review of this business after 2 billing mistakes. I had…read moreinitially decided never to use them again because they just cannot get their billing straight. However, they have terrific practitioners. So, I decided to try them one more time hoping that maybe their billing staff had improved. They actually messed up the billing yet again. They sent me a copy of the insurance company billing instructions I had given them for my file. It specified the name of the insurance company and the exact address and contact information. They ended up sending the billing to a completely different insurance company - that has been out of business for many years - totally ignoring the information they acknowledged they had in my file. Although they have some terrific PT folks their ongoing billing errors create more aggravation than I am willing to deal with.,

Between my wife and me, we have experienced care by 3 physical therapists and 2 chiropractors. Joe,…read moreConor, and Trish, the PTs, deserve 5 stars each. They take time to diagnose, discuss, and apply sensible programs. They keep on the ball by tailor-making the procedures and then "up the stakes" as the client improves. The person's needs and abilities are honored; yet there is also firm and respectful nudging to up his or her efforts. Conor, Joe, and Trish have friendly personalities. Over the years I've gone to many PT providers. These are the best! Dr. Traudt examined my needs and correctly directed me into PT. After that, he cordially keeps in touch with words of advice and support. Dr. Fitzgerald is taking excellent care of my wife, and shares her care with PT Trish. My wife is grateful for receiving great coordinated help. We thoroughly appreciate our relationship with ACPT, and that includes the pleasant and helpful office staff.

But as soon as you walk thru the door you are greeted by Amy and Toni- they are friendly, professional and make scheduling easy. The PT I saw mostly was Trish. She made me feel comfortable and hopeful. She patiently worked with me and showed me all that I needed to do. She was extremely knowledgable. ( I also worked with Conor and Joe - who were also friendly, professional and very informative) I honestly never would have thought I would have come this far in such a short time. Because of that - I will be scheduling my other knee for surgery and will definitely be calling Albany Chiropractic and Physical Therapy! Thank you to everyone, Denise M

Ahhh yes, the most highly rated physical therapy place in the Capital Region. I wasn't sure if I…read moreshould trust the reviews because they had perfect 5 stars on every website, but I figured, why not? Of course, that means I wasn't surprised when I wanted to write a 5 star review, too. This was my first experience with physical therapy. After a very disheartening, rude interaction with an orthopedic doctor who dismissed my 3-month-long knee pain (as bowleggedness? Which I don't have?) and background with tendon damage, I decided to try physical therapy, hoping it would help. On my very first visit, Joe Jr. came in with his two comrades, PhD candidates Dominic and I am so sorry I forgot the other one's name, but all three of them were so lovely and brought something different to the table in how they interacted with patients. Joe sat me down and asked me what the doctor had said, since I came in on a referral, and immediately started laughing. He assured me that they would take care of me after listening intently to my concerns, and I felt very respected/safe there. Immediately, he suggested that the pain might not be from my knees, but actually pain coming from my spine. We tried different exercises, which all resembled some form of yoga and slowly, but surely, my pain went away completely in a matter of weeks. Since I was mostly immobile from the knee pain for months, it felt strange to be able to run and hike again, so I went roller skating. I also started practicing yoga. My boyfriend and I tackled some of the Berkshire mountains together and I was so happy. I finally started working out again and I am so grateful for the team at Maccio Physical Therapy for getting me to where I am now. I would 100% recommend them. Every member of the staff I interacted with was so kind and helpful. Oh, and the moral of the story is... if you have knee pain, it could actually be spine pain? Weird. Thank you so much!
