I had no idea we had a Capital One Cafe in MOA until I walked past this recently! I had to stop in and see what it was like. I've been into one other Capital One Cafe before, so I knew that as a cardholder, I got 50% off any drinks. Not a bad deal, especially if you're looking for a bev or somewhere to hang for a bit in MOA. SERVICE The staff at the front are very cheery and welcoming and immediately begin asking if you've been before, if you have a card, etc. They directed me to the counter to order. During my visit, the staff member at the counter was quite the opposite of energy from the front staff. They were quite backed up with a few other people's orders in front of me, and it took ~10 minutes for me to get my drink. COST I was surprised that my small matcha with oat milk and a half pump of sweetener came up to $10, so I ended up still spending $5. DRINKS They have some nice drink options, but unfortunately were out of a few of their seasonal menu items, so I opted for a matcha latte. Note that they do not sweeten their matcha so you'll need to add a pump of sweetener if you prefer that. SPACE The space is the big win here! Lots of tables, and even a few nooks that can be booked by cardholders. It was very clean and comfortable, well designed, and a great place to work for a bit or hang out. What a cute space! If I was on business staying at a hotel near here, this would be great. You can reserve a private workspace for some uninterrupted quiet time or meeting time. There are 4 rooms in total so look online ahead if you are hoping to get one. At the center of the space is a Cafe, with a variety of drinks and food. Looks like their drinks are very creative, yet simple. I had a turmeric ginger latte that was pretty tasty!! My kids had hot apples cider and cocoa which were also great! This isn't just a Cafe, its also a bank. Grab cash a the ATM, apply or upgrade your card, and more. So, if you're a Capitol One card holder you'll get extra discounts and perks here as well! Amazing drinks! I'm astonished that a credit card company offers such great beverages. I've grabbed a free drink with a friend, and came back the next time and paid for one. I don't have a Capitol One card but I love stopping by this coffee shop whenever I'm at the mall because the coffee is so delicious! I've tried their seasonal pumpkin latte as well as their signature honey lavender latte - both iced, both so tasty! They are just the right amount of sweetness and I love the coffee beans used from Verve Coffee Roasters. The nice thing is that if you are a Capitol One or Discover card holder, you get a discount on their drinks. I'm sure it would be a huge perk if you had one because the prices are already pretty decent for coffee without the card. The space is clean and modern looking throughout the whole cafe. I wasn't pressured to get a card or anything like that and I'm always greeted warmly when I enter the store. Sometimes during the weekday, the service is slightly slower but it's not too bad. There are rooms that are available if you want to study or have a meeting or something. I'm not sure if they have to be booked in advance or are first come, first served. It's a cafe at the Mall of America, plus also there are people who want you to ask them about banking services. I just got a Capital One credit card and thought I would pop in to see if there were special privileges. Anyone can come in here; it's not like an airport lounge, but if you are a cardholder (Capital One or Discover), you get 50% off the cafe drinks. They have some options! I just got hot chocolate but they have some different spins on coffee and chai. There are also some savory solids on offer; no discount for cardholders. Friendly baristas of the sort you tend to expect at a cafe. It's clean and spacious and quiet. It's clear that there are people on staff that are there for banking services. Is this a safe space to say that the Capital One Café is one of my favorite coffee shops? All banking aside, the drinks are delish--genuinely one of my favorite matcha lattes I've ever had (and they even currently have a seasonal version with strawberry cold foam!), and the coffee/espresso is great too. There are plenty of great deals available, for both Capital One customers and not--their MLB Mondays promo offers a free drink on Mondays to all, and they also have a $3.60 drink deal on Fridays for Capital One customers! And, you can always get half off your drink when paying with a Capital One card, which rocks. Another cool customer perk is the nooks--I had no idea about this until I came in the other day and one of the Ambassadors told me about it and showed me how to reserve one--customers are able to book time in 30, 60, 90, or 120 minute increments through the Capital One app, so this is one of the best coffee spots in town if you want to get out of the house to work but still need a semi-private space to take a meeting, which is something I'm always looking for. You're also allowed to bring in outside food if you want something beyond their cafe food offerings, which rocks since the MOA has so many good food options! The staff here are all great, too--the Verve baristas make a mean drink, and the Capital One Ambassadors are SO helpful if you have any questions related to your account or need to do some actual banking. Double standards written all over it, no rules, just a "safe space" that's the Minneapolis way of saying your presence can offend anyone at anytime without even knowing what you did or said, in my case a a t shirt Do not go here, I looked up this place and went, 20 minutes after going here, I had someone telling me, excuse me, this is a "safe space" and we are trying to make this place feel welcoming to all and I hadn't even said anything, but apparently someone was offended by my t-shirt that said "Duct Tape, it can't cure stupid, but it can muffle the sound" I looked up Capital One Cafe policies went to their corporate website, talked to their places, they don't have rules, they are marked as a safe space, which is the Minnesota way of saying we reserve the right to kick you out if we are offended by your point of view. For a place that has no official rules, they sure like to play the warning cards, they have an African American dude tall and skinny puts on a nice fake smile, but you know he's talking about you behind your back, he strikes me as the positive vibe types, I think his name tag said Ty or Tyler. That guy has back talking written all over him and boy can he talk, I spotted him going on about his kid and everything non work related the same day he gave me the boot over a T-shirt, kind of sounds like a bit of a double standard to me, it's OK for you to talk about your kid, but I am not free to wear a t-shirt Capital One does not publish a single, dedicated "Safe Space Policy" PDF, but rather embeds principles of safety, inclusion, and respect within its Code of Business Conduct and third-party supplier policies. These documents outline commitments to a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and violence. Tell me how a T-shirt is harassment, discriminatory, or violent. read more

Kind of nice this is here in the middle of this big MoA. It's open to all, but CapitalOne card users get 50% discount if they use their card while here for purchases. 50% discount for CapitalOne card user. I ordered a tropical green tea $6.25 hot and my husband ordered a random hot drink with oat milk and anything else that would be good. Their staff ended up adding some caramel, hazelnut and some mocha to the hot coffee. 20 ounce Peet's coffee with random stuff was only $6. After some musical chairs to find a cozy seat, we settled on the very low slouchy couch. It's a bit too slouchy. The service is quite quick and prices are reasonably priced too. The drinks are much smaller now, so 50% off for being a cardholder doesn't give you the same bang for your buck. If you go here with any regularity, they will remember you and ask about the things you talked about last time. "Hey, how was your trip to San Diego?" They are so friendly and effortless in making all the conversation be with ease. They have helped me with Capital One issues, helped me find places in the mall to buy certain things, given me free coffee coupons, and just been a great break to some laptop work we do their on a regular basis. Using our Capital One cards gives us half price on our latte's so you gotta love that. They have their own restroom which is nice. They have conference rooms and you can chat with them for financial stuff but they are absoltely not pushy. Some of the baristas are super friendly, some more "efficient." The CapitalOne Cafe in Mall of America is a cute, cozy place with a modern design. It's not just a cafe but also a spot for banking if you're a CapitalOne customer, and you get a nice 50% discount with a CapitalOne card. They recently changed their coffee supplier from Peet to Verve, which means a slightly smaller menu. I missed my go-to Frappe Matcha. The Capital One Café is inside of the mall of America. I think it's a cute little café to go to when you need a break from shopping. You can just park at the mall parking lot and there is big seating. Even for office meetings or meet with somebody if needed, which is really cool. They have bank attendants there too so if you have a capital one account you can ask a question on any bank related item too! And if you have Capital One credit card you actually get 50% off the drinks which is really nice too. As a California native, I'm a big Verve fan, and I haven't had a bad iced vanilla latte with oat milk from the Capital One Cafe. Just to clarify, this feedback is about the coffee shop employees, not the Capital One ambassadors. I stopped by to grab a discounted coffee as a Capital One member, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. When I approached the counter, two employees were deep in conversation. Since the café wasn't busy, I initially didn't think much of it. However, after making eye contact with one of them for several seconds, they reluctantly broke away from their conversation to take my order--clearly inconvenienced by having to do their job. The employee who helped me seemed unfamiliar with the menu and gave me incorrect information, insisting that an "extra shot" meant two shots of espresso, which made no sense. On top of that, I caught what looked like a mocking expression of exaggerated surprise when I requested it, making the interaction even more uncomfortable. After paying, I stepped away to use the restroom. When I returned, I saw a drink on the bar but didn't want to assume it was mine without confirmation. By that time, a third employee had joined their ongoing conversation. I made eye contact with her, hoping she'd assist me, and she attempted to get the attention of the original two. It took three tries before one of them finally turned around, visibly annoyed at the interruption. She gave a half-hearted, barely audible confirmation that the drink was mine before immediately turning back to her conversation without another word. The complete lack of professionalism, attentiveness, and basic customer service was unacceptable. read more

What a great place to retreat to when you need a quiet moment while visiting MOA. A Peet's Coffee bar is located inside with a full menu of beverages and snacks to choose from. It was a bit too late in the afternoon for me to have a caffeine fix so I decided to try their homemade root beer. It was served in a large Capri Sun-like bag. It was very tasty and refreshing. Seating wise, this place is very inviting. Lots of areas to mingle with people but it wasn't overly busy with people. Some people were working while others were just hanging out. Always a great experience when working remote! Came to the capital One Café at the Mall of America in Minnesota to make a deposit. Not only was the staff very inviting after making the deposit. I was able to get a great dirty chai latte half off with my capital one debit card. Stayed around a little bit to work as the Wi-Fi is fast enough and the space is clean and inviting. I have had the opportunity to tour and use other Capital One cafés throughout the country, and this is on par with the Others , even though it's in a huge mall. I would definitely recommend someone to coming to work especially if you are in Minnesota on business because you have a huge Mall to tour after.
