They graciously did so with quick response. Our neighbor even came over to see the result and she was also impressed. I am writing this review on behalf of my 85 year old grandmother, a seasonal resident of Ocean…read moreCity. She had some issues with some fluorescent overhead lighting fixtures not working. As a 85 years old woman, she is very sharp, but not very familiar with household electrical problems, as neither am I. She called Frick Electric, and they sent 2 men, when it was really only a one man job. Their recommendation was to replace the bulbs for ALL 8 fixtures, even though only 2 were not working. They left and came back the next day, and replaced the bulbs, with a healthy markup. They CHARGED HER OVER $250 for the labor of two men to change 8 bulbs. Doesn't that seem excessive? She could have had a family member or neighbor easily replace the bulbs. After they left, the fixtures quickly stopped working within 24 hours, even with new bulbs. I feel like she was taken advantage of, and unknowingly paid them an enormous fee. A few days later, I arrived at her house, and on inspection noticed one of the bulbs they replaced was broken. She couldn't have done it herself, so it must have been broken when they installed it. I advised her to call them back. They came back after 2 weeks of trying to call them, leaving multiple messages, to come back and honor their work guarantee. When the electrician came in, he dismissed that they might be responsible for the broken the light bulb, adjusted how the contacts so the bulb would connect with the fixture. It worked for all of 24 hours after he left. He suggested we have them come back and install all new light fixtures. Um.... no thanks. She still has two non-working light fixtures and $250 worth of new bulbs. Ridiculous.
