Brad came in and took one look at what needed to be done and without skipping a beat, he relayed exactly what he was going to do. If you need a tree removed in the Topeka area, Heartland needs to be one of the contenders to call for an estimate. Pricing is reasonable and hard to beat. Give these guys a shot.

They arrived early, and wrapped up in about three hours, which was a lot quicker than I thought it would be considering the size of the cottonwood, and its proximity to the house. I contacted 3 tree removal companies in Topeka, Ks. in March 2021. I chose Custom Tree Care for…read moretheir reasonable estimate for taking down 2 trees in my front yard. Today is 9/25/2021 and they just finished up. The delay between March and September was primarily due to fairly frequent rains, that kept the heavy truck out of my front lawn. Also, I have a flagstone walk that the truck needed to cross - so they laid down several panels that protected the walk, when the truck drove over it, so that was good. Arriving at 7:30 was the lead guy, checking things out. At 8am the workers and the big truck pulled in. It is almost 3pm - and they have everything cleaned up - all the limbs and tree trunks loaded and they were paid and are now gone. The workers on the ground, all kept busy, raking and picking up debris. A final cleanup was done with leaf blowers all humming in unison. I chose 5 stars for my rating, because I could not be happier with the job they did. The lead guy was very friendly and made the process go very smooth. I would contact them again, if I ever needed more trees topped or taken down.

I've struggled with whether or not I should leave a review for this company but I feel compelled to…read moreshare my experience. We used Stauffer for our new home and were disappointed. The plants were delivered on a hot day and were stressed. Not good specimens to begin with and the extreme heat didn't help. We planted the bushes the next day, watered twice a day for three months and still lost half of them. Three of the seven trees died almost immediately. They were replaced per the warranty but we had to pay Stauffer over $400 for re-planting that wasn't included in the warranty. We still have two of the original trees that have not recovered and still don't look healthy after doing everything we can to help them thrive. The paver patio they installed settled and had to be removed. Luckily it was warranted and at our request they paid us the settlement and we had another local landscape company re-install it and we haven't had additional issues. Maybe they are a small company and don't have enough crews to meet demand. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that's the case. I wish them well.
