He made a wonderful brisket, pulled pork, tomato salad, roasted corn salsa, scallops, shrimp, roasted vegetables, & pasta salad. Our guests loved the quality, presentation and of course the flavors. Doug and team were so accommodating, and wonderful with our guests. We highly recommend Red Fish Catering!!! Thank you Doug & team for a wonderful job!

He was enthusiastic and responsive from the first phone call, he came up with an excellent menu and once he arrived to actually do the party, that menu was beautifully executed. We wanted an easy, crowd pleasing buffet that would allow our guests to help themselves and he delivered exactly that. From the perfectly roasted medium rare beef tenderloin, to the plump Cuban spiced sea scallops that he got off the boat that morning, to the nutty, toothsome roasted vegetable farro salad, everything was absolutely delicious. And to top it off the whole buffet looked gorgeous! He even came to the rescue when we realized the we had neglected to bring a cooler for the week, so he lent us his giant Yeti cooler for the entire week! What a class act from this caterer! We will definitely use him again when we come back to Avalon next summer! FYI, I think he may also lead fishing charters and if I had know that ahead of time we would have booked him for that too!

We decided to try this place our last night in Cape May. Too bad we discovered it so late! They…read morehave a really large menu, everyone in our party got something different. Pulled pork, empanadas, penne aka vodka, veggie burger, shrimp sandwich. Everyone was super happy with their meals. The vibe in there is very chill. You can tell they are cooking your food made to order. I highly suggest checking them out!

Our friends kindly hosted us at their Cape May beach house this weekend and catered our lunch and…read moredinner from Homestyle To Go to make it easier. It was delicious! For lunch we had two different sandwiches which came with a bag of chips: the chicken cutlet caprese: jersey tomatoes, basil pesto & mozzarella - 4/5, the chicken cutlet is sliced into thin pieces and mixed in with the tomatoes, pesto and mozzarella - I think I would have enjoyed this more if it was served as a piece of chicken cutlet topped with the other items. In this format it was a little hard to eat (I ended up scraping the chicken out of the bread to eat it that way), and not satisfying as a sandwich the fried eggplant, roasted peppers, sauteed spinach, tomatoes & mozzarella - 5*/5, generous slices of lightly breaded fried eggplant topped with the other items for a "meaty" sandwich, very delicious! For dinner we had the halibut with braised leeks and ratatouille over polenta, it was amazing! I'm not sure if I can recreate this at home but the combination of the perfectly prepared halibut over the creamy polenta accented by slices of the leek, topped with what I could have believed was the typical topping for eggplant or chicken parmigiana (maybe that would be easier than making ratatouille?) - sumptuous! Now that I know about Homestyle To Go I'll definitely order from there instead of eating out in Cape May every night as we usually do when we stay on the Cape. So many more things to try!

WOWWWW! We come to Cape May every. single. year. And this year we wanted to try somewhere different…read moreand got a rec to come here- all I can say is wow. I cannot believe we wasted so many years not coming here. Melissa, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make this night perfect. So kind, accommodating, and attentive! She suggested the perfect wine to go with my meal, and as someone that can usually never tell the difference in what white wine I'm drinking, all I can say is wow- she truly hit the nail on the head. It was perfect. All night we kept saying we felt like we had the best seat in the house- we were in one of the closed-in patio sections that had a gorgeous view at every angle (definitely call ahead and see if they can seat you in there!). The food was to die for. We got the lobster salad app (INSANE ), oysters, the blue crab risotto, and the scallops, and everything was divine. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. For dessert we had the choco cello drink- it was the best thing i've ever tasted in my life. Not kidding. We also had the lemon mousse cake and vanilla ice cream.... so so so good. We left feeling SO content, happy, full but not STUFFED. Genuinely a perfect night. Thank you so much to Melissa and all of the staff at Washington Inn! Truly an incredible crew of people- the hostesses, the bus boys who attentively and respectfully cleared our dishes, the manager who checked on us with such a friendly and kind energy... they have something truly special going on at this restaurant!

Attended for our anniversary this year -- a Cape May favorite for us. Food remains stellar but…read moredining room was crowded with large parties that were loud, distracting, and many with kids. While I'm a parent too, some kids don't belong at a restaurant like this and can spoil a special occasion dinner. Service was good but noticeably slower as our server coped with the larger sized parties (8-10 people). We were acknowledged for our anniversary which was nice, but the proximity to these large parties was not appreciated. The large dining room area here is loud and the silver walls are tacky. Appreciated a quieter table last year in one of the more intimate, quieter areas of the restaurant. While I still love this restaurant, removing a star for the reasons stated.
