You want an honest review? They do NOT have classes for women. They swindle you into a 200/month crap program and it is all men. There is no classes for women. It is a trick. Then they do not let you in. I paid to be in the program and within 24 hours they said no but they let the males in my orientation class in. They are terrible and I am in a better place now that is inclusive to women and not all teenagers who landfall moms pay to hit. I will continue to spread this to all the women I know. I am writing this in bed. I have the summer off from work and I am lucky that I do, because last nights workout kicked my @55. I have done some pretty tough workouts, hiked some challenging mountains, and trained for a marathon, and I can tell you that Cape Fear Boxing is a superb workout. I came in last night for my first time to check out the Adult Boxing class. It was me and two other guys. Coach Terry beat the stuffing out of me. After class I spoke to Coach Rasheed about the different options for the gym and I wish I lived in Wilmington year round, because working out here and a solid meal plan would make any person one seriously in shape human. The different options for classes in terms of cost are competitive. Dropping in won't break the bank and committing for a month or even a few brings the cost down. This place is more expensive then weight lifting gyms like Golds or O2, but you get some one on one time with the coaches during your group class. You may notice the 4 star review instead of the 5 and that is simple that the new location is fairly bare at the moment. They have some speed bags up, but the heavy bags weren't up yet and most of the gym is still getting put together. I am sure it will end up looking good. I can't wait to get back in here and get another workout in. Oh and they offer ladies classes too. I would love to get my fiancé in here so she can get a killer workout. I highly recommend this place for your workouts. read more

I joined Cape Fear Boxing in May 2022 for the Ladies Fitness Challenges and I did not know what to expect but the ladies and coaches were so welcoming. Being around others who are supportive and also working towards their goals is so encouraging to want to work harder. The coaches are amazing, they're right by your side pushing you and even sometimes doing the workouts with you. I absolutely loved my time here and cannot wait to get back! read more

I joined Cape Fear Boxing in April 2020 as part of one of their Ladies Fitness Challenges. After the challenge was over I committed to joining the gym afterwards, I genuinely am not one to sweat during workouts and I thought it was just a thing I wasn't capable of doing. Once I started doing the workouts at CFB, my face would be DRIPPING in sweat! I do the Ladies Boxing Bootcamp and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. You not only have some great coaches, many of the other women are incredibly encouraging and you really become part of the community. I'm so glad Cape Fear Boxing gives customers the option to try one free class before. I joined the "Ladies Boxing Boot Camp" 10 minutes before it started and I'm glad I went. Coach Rasheed was very helpful, showing me demonstrations of each workout so I would know what I was doing. He's a good motivator for sure! read more

My children have been boxing with Coach for several years. They absolutely LOVE boxing! Coach has such a great style of teaching that my children feel encouraged to progress. I have thoroughly enjoyed working out at CFB. As someone who doesn't like boot camps, I've found the format of the workouts to push me each time while also helping me get the most out of 30 minutes. The biggest draws are Coach Rasheed - who is extremely professional and encouraging - and the women who show up and give the workouts their all. I've been working out at Cape Fear Boxing for about 5 months now and I absolutely love it! I have worked out at various gyms in Wilmington for years prior but this gym changed the game for me! This place is the best gym in town. A few years back I was being trained for the 400m Dash by a coach from Duke to run D1 track in college. The workouts I did with that coach for many months hardly even compare to the workouts that the coaches at Cape Fear Boxing have to offer!! I've been going to Cape Fear Boxing religiously for the last nine months, and I cannot say enough positive things about Coach Rasheed and this program. Prior to coming to Cape Fear Boxing, I did not work out consistently and honestly did not know my way around a gym. Coach Rasheed's 30 minute workouts still kick my butt, but the changes I have seen in terms of muscle mass and endurance are tremendous. Through Cape Fear Boxing, I have learned not only the fundamentals of boxing, but also the correct form for lifting weights and countless exercises. However, these workouts are about more than just getting fit. Coach Rasheed has successfully created a community of women who support each others' fitness goals and celebrate their achievements. Together we have run 5ks, eaten at restaurants owned by women in the group, attended community networking events, and most importantly cheered on each others' progress. Coach Rasheed has been successful in not only creating an intense fitness program but also a loving community. Coach remains consistent in his care and support for each woman in the program and continuously stresses ideas of empowerment, confidence, and strength. This program has changed the way that I view exercise and has given me an incredible community in Wilmington. read more
