My oldest is a black belt 1st degree now and my husband, our youngest and myself are purple belt. My only regret is not to have started sooner! He cried because he was very anxious during the first class and Ms Rolison took the time to make him less anxious and to actually finish his first class. Almost two years later, my kid is purple belt and loves coming to ATA. He has come a LONG way and has learned to listen, follow instructions and to set goals and work hard for them. Even my 2.5 year old loves to practice forms with my son. They don't criticize you if you make a mistake either, they simply encourage you to try again and keep going. I love the principles that they instill and life lessons you learn. I started the adult classes in February and I am so thankful I did. I'm glad I listened to my friend and my parents who encouraged me to do this; and now I'm thankful to Master and Mrs. White for being so encouraging. I will forever be grateful to them. I was looking for a martial arts program to help channel her energy, help her to start learning discipline and build her confidence. Needless to say Master White was able to do those things! My daughter was a tricky one. She has a fear of men she doesn't know, and so it definitely too a lot of time and patience on Master White's part to get her to come around. She ended up finishing the Tiger program just before we moved a few months ago. We miss the White's dearly, but know we always will have a home with our ATA family!!
