I've been to lots of gyms all over the country and that is NOT always the case. The gym is very clean and tidy. The people are wonderful. All of them very encouraging and friendly. They had a wide range of fitness levels: from young whipper snappers who could lift heavy weight to older men and women in their forties and fifties. They clearly know how to accommodate different populations and the varying needs of each one. It's not a huge gym and the classes are small so you will get plenty of attention. If you're in Morehead and want to know if this is a good gym.. IT IS!

I caught one of the female employees (muscle woman with mullet) flipping me off from a distance once trying to impress her little clique, never said anything because you can tell the management breeds this toxicity. The gym itself is awesome but you'll have to lick boots otherwise they'll make you feel like you don't belong. I've spoken to two different people who feel this way, which sucks because people go to the gym to improve themselves not be torn down. Unfortunately I paid a year upfront and I went maybe ten to fifteen time in that year. Unless you're already in with their little clique you won't like this gym. I moved to the golds in Jacksonville the same town and totally different energy and staff everyone's chill it's a better gym.

There are lots of classes in addition to these that I haven't tried yet, so I recommend coming in to check out all they have to offer, as I'm sure you'll find classes that will be just the right fit for you. EQUIPMENT/MACHINES - There is a huge variety of equipment at Sound, along with many different weight machines to choose from.
