Cape Cod Muscle & Speed in Bourne is out to take advantage of their customers. When my car was hit, AAA sent them. The driver charged me for the tow, which, through AAA, should have been free. They also charged me a hefty hidden storage fee for every day my car was there, including the three days of the holiday weekend while their business was closed. Worst, the mechanic lied about the damage to my car. Rather than waiting for the insurance company to inspect the car, as I had asked, the mechanic took my car apart without my permission, talked me through a very detailed quote for a replacement of the entire brake system, and then pressured me to let him do the repair rather than wait for the inspector. I had such a bad feeling about this place that I had it towed 70 miles to a mechanic I trust in my hometown. I'm so glad I did. His quote was very different - rather than the entire brake system being broken, there was one spot that needed to be patched. No parts needed. The repair was HUNDREDS of dollars less than what I had been quoted by Cape Cod Muscle & Speed, even including the long tow home. These people should not be in business. They are snakes, and they are unethical. Go elsewhere. read more

Our car died on the on ramp to the Bourne Bridge, terrible! We called AAA and they sent over CCM&S. A young man came to our rescue, with a flat bed truck, not the tow behind kind. He was SO nice and accommodating, and made sure not to damage the car at all. He went out of his way to take the car to Hyannis and make us laugh, even after a super stressful situation. I mean, who wants to be towed? But if you have to, you're in good hands calling these guys. read more

The whole experience was a nightmare. First my repair was delayed a week longer than promised, then my truck was shipped off to a Ford dealer without my consent, I was told after "your truck is at the Ford dealership" so I ended up with 2 repair bills totaling 1,844.00. After all this about a week later I go to fill my truck with gas and gas comes pouring out of the top of the tank where the repair was done so I call the shop and the owner tells me to bring it in 8:15 Monday morning I show up at 8:15 and I'm told the mechanic working on my car has called in and won't be available until noon to come back. I live 2 towns away so now I have to go back which is costing me time and fuel. The owner doesn't offer to fix it himself and tells me "he can't touch it that it's the mechanics baby and he needs to fix it cause he's the one who messed it up". He also stated "Just to let you know no one here is ever on time" This is coming from the owner which I find shocking. I later that day receive a call from the owner who acts like he never spoke to me before saying I can come on in at 4pm and "We'll take a peek at it" I ended up going in the next day (today) and it was finally fixed after about 10 or so trips back and forth waiting and wondering when and what was going on for over a week and scrambling around borrowing and paying back my life savings. Not to mention the $1,844.00 bill. P.S. the mechanic who fixed it today which was the same one who has been working on it all along, tried to blame the Ford dealership for his mistake which caused the leak, pretty funny seeing as Ford Dealer never dropped the tank to access the fuel pump O-ring which is where the leak was. Had to get my car towed twice today going to the Cape. First by Rene, who went out of his way to help remedy our situation and was super nice to my son on his 10th birthday (and cheered him up despite spending the day dealing with car trouble.) Then later had to get towed again by Joe (I think that was the name) all the way back home. Professional guy and cool conversation on the long drive back. On a really horrible day, these two were good people who tried to make it better. Thank you. read more

These guy are idiots. Slid off the road in ice. They swear by wheel lift trucks, not ramp trucks. My car clearly needed a ramp. Instead the two idiots, yes idiots, try to drag the car from the rear without strapping down the wheels to the wheel lift. What do you thing will happen?! Yep ripped off the entire rear bumper as the car fell off. The damage they cause in excess made my car end up being totaled (only had minor front end damage at 60k). Thanks guys! I was in a bad accident on rte 3 a while ago. Cape Cod Muscle did a great job cleaning up the accident and picking up all my stuff and tools. I got back all my personal belongings and most of my tools. I was impressed at the amount of my tools I did get back, cause in the accident my tool box exploded and my tools were all over the highway and median. They have given me help dealing with the insurance company too. I would recommend these guys to anyone. read more

After my car stalled on Rt. 6A, AAA sent Cape Cod Muscle & Speed to retrieve my car. I had just moved to the area & the tow-boy (yes, boy) told me they also fix cars. So I let them fix my car. I paid them $900 to repair my fuel pump. After getting my car, it smelled of MAJOR gasoline. Even with windows down, I couldn't drive with my children. Upon returning to Cape Cod Muscle & Speed (I should've known by the name alone) they told me the mechanic didn't properly seal the cap after replacing my fuel pump and my car could've exploded. Oh, nice. Well, it's been a year and now my car will not pass inspection because my CAR IS STILL LEAKING FUEL! Obviously, my old mechanic will be fixing my car - 35 miles away! While the owner and his receptionist daughter were very nice, that doesn't fix the fact that they have cost me over $1300. Let's not forget the reminder that my family and I are lucky to be alive. read more

Reading the bad reviews on this site were very surprising, as I had quite an excellent experience with Cape Cod Muscle & Speed. The serpentine belt blew out on my Chevy Silverado while traveling north on Rte. 28 in Bourne, so I called AAA and the guys from CCM&S came out quickly (they were just around the corner) and towed me back to their shop. It was a Saturday in the afternoon, which as anyone knows on the Cape if it is after 1pm you are usually SOL... but they were able to get the belt, put it on and have me out of there quickly. On another occasion, on Wed. before Thanksgiving, an electronic module for my distributor went out, and again, CCM&S got it handled quickly without a problem. They came to my house, towed it back to their shop, they located the problem, got the part, and installed it quickly; they even stayed late on Wed. after hours because they knew I needed to get to W. Hartford for Thanksgiving. These guys are pros, they are honest, and I trust them with the repairs for all the vehicles in my family. As hard as it is to find good reliable and honest help at an affordable price on the Cape (especially in the Bourne/Falmouth area) these guys are great, and I have already recommended them to others. read more
