To top it all off, these people had the audacity to try and charge us full price saying that they had only been moved temporarily while their original place was being cleaned. Problem was, I passed by their enclosure I had rented and reserved and there were other dogs in there. Next trip we brought our dogs to Cape Veterinary in Yarmouth. The team here is caring, amazing, and detail oriented. During COVID, the store manager, Corissa (I don't know if I spelt that right), delivered the items Lady needs to our door. That's A+++ care! She has also researched and helped locate some new items for Lady that seemed beneficial and was able to get them for us in the store within just a few days. Lady loves it here. I love it here. Everyone I speak to about HD loves it too. We can't post from here on IG enough to show our love (we've toned it down a bit because I'm pretty sure people started to think we work for them). I've seen near countless numbers of small businesses and retail locations up close because I do a lot of consulting and tech stuff with them, so I know I over analyze just about everything when I'm shopping. I wouldn't change a thing. It's unreasonable to expect small businesses to compete with the big box stores and online shops in selection and in price. However, HD has an amazing selection of the go-to items and they always have new and fun things to try out. With price? I don't really know how I could compare theirs with the big people because so much of what they have is local and unique - but the items I've purchased here that are available elsewhere, I have yet to see any sort of price differential that would even make me consider shopping elsewhere. Once, a manufacturer of one of the products Lady used had a slightly lower price on that product - maybe $4 less on a hundred dollar thing - BUT, shipping was $8. (I was only looking to get the instructions from the manufacturer - I swear I wasn't going to switch shops, really!) I can't recommend Hot Diggity enough - really and truly. To say they were great with my dog is an understatement. They were fantastic. They whisked him away and I found out he was going to lose his one eye. The compassion and competence is exactly what I'm looking for in a vet. He got his stitches taken out today and is fine. Everyone who worked there got a look at him, praising him. He didn't freak out at all then or now which says something about them (and about him, I must say). I would highly recommend Leach Animal Hospital. I've changed vets pretty quickly.
