I left my cat at Upper Cape Pet Services when our family went on vacation. They were so kind and welcoming. I immediately felt at ease leaving him in their care. It was very clean and they had a great play area for him. They sent us daily updates with pictures and it was great to see how he was doing. He is very shy and they were so gentle and caring with him. He became very comfortable and was purring and wandering around the resort - it was great to see in the pictures that they provided. We have a variety of animals that all have special needs. Usually we leave them with a family member and there are still little issues (one gets sick from anxiety, the other goes on a hunger strike etc.) so we were thinking finding a pet sitter would be pretty impossible. We are SO happy we found Upper Cape Pet Sitting. We received updates about how our pets were doing, pictures and report cards. It was so comforting to know that everything was going well and really allowed us to enjoy our weekend away. We can't recommend them enough! (For reference we have two pugs- one blind with limited use of her back legs, one with a VERY delicate stomach, a parrot and a bearded dragon. We left our gentleman cat and senior Beagle in the care of Upper Cape Pet Sitting while out of town for the week. Lisa provided stellar care and attention to both. She met both of them in advance with a visit and went over all details of their needs. Prior to our departure, she was in touch letting us know she'd take good care of them. We had no doubts they were in good hands and this was confirmed with her terrific communication after each visit that contained a few photos, a description of how they were doing, and how she cared for them while there (treats, walks, etc.). Lisa provided excellent care to our two cats while we were away for a long weekend. Ordinarily, I would have had a neighbor come in to feed them, however one of our cats began having problems with crystals in his urine this year. We've had 3 emergency trips to the vet since March and finally had him stabilized with his diet. Anxiety is also a large part of this problem and so the cat gets Prozac every day. Lisa was able to continue to administer the medication without any struggle. Her daily communication, excellent website and personality makes her a pleasure to work with! read more

Gunther's Story I had my 9 year old golden retriever "grandog" visiting with me this summer. I needed some help with dog walking if we decided to go off for the day with our grandchildren and other family members were visiting with us. I set up a consultation with Lisa at Upper Cape Pet Sitters to stop by and introduce her to Gunther. On the morning of our scheduled consultation, Gunther was not feeling well, not eating and seemed very lethargic. I called Lisa just prior to her arrival to reschedule our appointment but she arrived a little early and thank goodness she was here. She notified Gunther's gums were pale and she immediately advised us to take him to the Veterinarian Hospital in Bourne as we did not know where to go. My daughter took Gunther up there right away and the news she was given wasn't good. After running a battery of tests, they decided Gunther had to have his spleen removed that day as he was bleeding internally and they found other tumors on his organs. They told my daughter if we would have waited to get to them, the outcome would have been totally different, and not in a good way. To make a long story short, Gunther survived his surgery, the biopsy reports came back benign and after 2 weeks of recuperating here with his family in Falmouth, he was able to go back home to CT. We are eternally grateful to Lisa for being so kind, knowledgeable, observant and giving us good advice on where to take our boy. Even though we were not able to use Lisa's services this summer I would certainly use her in the future and recommend her to anyone looking for pet care. She is caring, kind and has sent me texts every few days to check on Gunther's status. She saved Gunther's life and we are forever grateful! We can't say enough about Lisa's Upper Cape Pet Sitting. It is such a professionally run business, but make no mistake, the care and love they gave our dog was genuine and heartfelt. We have a rescue that can show some anxiety when we aren't around but we left for a 10 day vacation and Lisa and Jean provided the best care, including overnight stays, while we were gone. Their updates gave us comfort but even before we left, they visited Teddy so everyone felt reassured. It's great when you feel that your dog sitter loves your dog as much as you do and I do feel that way. A great find for sure! read more

I cannot recommend Upper Cape Pet Sitting highly enough. Lisa took care of my dogs while I was away for the weekend with my boyfriend and it's the only time in LITERAL YEARS I have left them with anyone and not felt sick to my stomach worrying about them. I hardly ever go anywhere because the anxiety and worries I have about leaving my 2 dogs and cat behind makes me sick to my stomach- I've had sitters/friends flake out, no show, or just treat my dogs poorly because they can be a little difficult and stubborn, especially now that they're older. I've gone on vacations and had them ruined because of how nervous I was about my pets the entire time. With UCPS, Lisa texted me updates and photos every time she was with them, gave a detailed report of everything that happened while she was there, and she even added in extra visits which was an actual miracle considering I am a huge procrastinator and waited until the last minute to book UCPS on a holiday weekend. The app they use is amazing and super easy- you can schedule your visits through the app, view messages and photos from the visits as well as the pet sitting reports, and at the end your invoice pops up in there and you can pay it through the app. It couldn't be any easier. Lisa took AMAZING care of my crew, who are admittedly kind of grumpy jerks sometimes, and she even gave me some great suggestions on how to help them with their weird senior dog issues. Having 2 older dogs can be REALLY overwhelming a lot of the time, and I have a lot of guilt even thinking about leaving them, but I know with UCPS taking care of them they will be safe and happy and I wont have to spend my time away fretting about how they are doing. If UCPS starts doing people sitting I might book them to come take care of me next! Its a rarity to find anyone who puts in this level of effort and professionalism into their job, but Lisa is the cream of the crop when it comes to pet sitting. read more

Lisa at Upper Cape Pet Sitting was absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married this summer in Harwich Port and we hired Lisa to help with our dog, Leo, before, during and after the ceremony. It was a little bit complicated because we had two other family dogs that also needed care and they were located in a different town on the Cape. Lisa was willing and able to care for Leo during the ceremony and then get him where he needed to be with the other dogs so we could party for the rest of the night without worrying! She fed them all and got them some exercise. She also took care of them the following day when we were at the beach. Lisa was so communicative and easy to work with. She even traveled to meet us with Leo earlier in the week so that he could get used to her a bit. I would HIGHLY recommend Upper Cape Pet Sitting if you are looking for great care and peace of mind.
