I can only guess that the people who had bad experiences must have been dealing with someone else. My purpose in going there was that there's an employee there (Alfred) whom the Wellfleet Harbormaster uses for setting moorings, and I need information on how big/how much chain to use. Alfred is, apparently, the only guy who can give you an authoritative answer. I explained what I needed and was told Alfred would call me. That was Thursday; today is Saturday, and no call yet. This is not meant to be a negative review; I'm just waiting to see what happens.

We had an absolutely amazing day out on the water with Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch in Provincetown…read more Our tour guide, Sophie, made the entire experience unforgettable. She was incredibly knowledgeable, full of energy, and genuinely passionate about whales and nature. You could tell this is more than just a job for her. She even had a whale tattoo on her leg, which made her love for these incredible animals even more authentic. We learned so much from her, and it was refreshing to have a guide so excited to share her knowledge. She kept pointing out the whales as they surfaced, and her timing was perfect, just when you thought the action had moved on, she would spot another humpback breaching or lifting its tail before diving back down. If you can, try to get on one of Sophie's tours. I've been on whale watching tours before, but I have never seen anything like this. Our four kids were beyond excited as we saw what felt like 40 to 60 humpback whales. The boat ride itself was fantastic, with the salty spray in the air and everyone crowding the rails every time a whale came up close. It was one of the most incredible wildlife experiences we have ever had. At first, I thought the tour was a little pricey, but as my son said, "Dad, this was worth every dollar. You should have paid more." He was right. We happily tipped Sophie and the crew on our way out because they absolutely earned it. If you are visiting Provincetown, do not miss this experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would recommend it to anyone.

That's the unpredictable factors in whale watching. Regarding all boats not just Dolphin Fleet. Parents Please watch your children. You are on ocean and rough seas. Why would you let young children wander around without you? Do better! Seasick warning. Take advice of crew and take meds if prone to seasickness. You won't enjoy trip and neither will people around you.

Being rather un-athletic I was nervous about trying my hand at Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) but was…read moreconvinced by friends that I could do it. We met our guide, Erik, at 8:30 am on a beautiful August day at a crystal-clear pond in Welfleet where I was immediately put at at ease by our guide's calm demeanor. We began with a history lesson of SUP-ing followed by precise, but easy to understand instructions that we practiced on the shore. Then we were off to learn in the still waters of the pond. Despite my initial reluctance I found SUP-ing to be rather easy, aided, of course, by Erik's natural teaching ability. He was able to keep an eye on all 8 in our group and provide differentiated instruction, based on each of our individual skill level. He never made me feel like I was holding the others in the group back but rather, he advanced my skill and confidence while simultaneously improving the technique of the more advanced in our group. We were all able to enjoy our nearly hour long paddle around the perimeter of the pond, at our owns comfort and speed, before our lesson was complete and Erik headed off to do a wind-surfing tour. Hmmm...Maybe I'll try THAT next? ;-) The tour was easy to arrange, at a time convenient for us and was very reasonably priced. We were provided with good quality, modern equipment that was well maintained. It is easy to see why Fun-Seekers comes so highly recommended because Erik is an established professional who truly loves what he does! We plan to book another lesson soon and would not hesitate to suggest Fun-Seekers to others!
