    Jasmine tea and coffee

We visited here to have pho on a rainy day and I'm so glad we did! As soon as we stepped in, I was awed by the beautiful design and the lovely atmosphere of Cao Cao. I started with Jasmine tea and it was delicious. We had the steak pho the vegetarian pho and they were both great! The steak broth was especially hearty. My only disappointed was the bathroom. For such classy place, I'd expect a little cleaner/nicer bathrooms.

Paid Receipt for food that we literally took a tiny taste and was repulsed so plates were all 99% in tact.

If there was a negative star I would give a negative star on the food quality and taste. Every single dish came out with an awful smell and flavor. Trust me, I'm a huge foodie who dines with at the best restaurants worldwide on daily basis. I complained to the waiter who was polite but said there was nothing that he can do about it, it was past 10:30pm in Berlin and didn't want to waste any time so I can actually leave and try to locate a decent place to have dinner at with my son. I asked for the check, and was happy to pay $46 euro and not end up with food poisoning and end paying 5,000 euro for a hospital bills + ruin the rest of my vacation.

Easily, the best Vietnamese food that I have had in Berlin. The ingredients and flavors were fresh and more importantly, authentic (no broccoli and carrots which you will never find in Vietnam) and the staff was friendly and attentive.

GỎI NGÓ SE : Spicy salad with lotus stems, prawns & peanuts served with a homemade lime dressing.

Fantastic! Visiting Berlin for the first time. Living in Northern California, my partner and I eat Vietnamese food frequently. This place bested some of our go-to spots at home. Each dish had a perfect balance of flavors. You must come here.

This place is conveniently located but only takes cash - an ATM is located across the street. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Food was great!

The pho was good , but the spring roll lacked a lot of spring . Didn't taste that fresh. The pho has good flavors, but I wish there was some more limes or hoisin or sirracha I could of added. I wanted to pay my credit card, but immediately was told I will be charged at 20 dollars since the fees are high. Sort of a turn off i should of gotten an option like hey we charge cards at 20 if you wanted to order few more items to get it there we can do that . I ended up just paying cash for it.

Beautiful restaurant - very well-appointed interior, even in the bathrooms. The food was delicious, but not spicy enough for me. It was a Sunday night, and not busy. So when we decided to have another drink, my friend wanted a chair with a back rather than a stool. You don't get if you don't ask...so I asked (my friend is British, so would have never considered asking, as that would be rude - haha). The waiter said "sure" and then asked if we wanted to move tables. It was a very nice, casual atmosphere with a wide range of ages and types of people.

Food was nice and tasteful. I got a "spicy", and it was good and not too hot. Nice atmosphere and the pace of service was good.

I followed the soup with the Vit Curry Do (H5 on the menu) which is a thinly sliced crispy baked duck served with rice in a spicy red curry.

The ambience is great inside, with cute decor and good vibes. The service was surprisingly prompt and attentive given our experience with other places in Berlin-- we got our food all in good time with adequate time in between to catch up with the other people we were getting dinner with. The absolute STARS of this meal were the appetizers. The spring rolls were huge and so crispy and came with lettuce to wrap it in. The server also recommended a shrimp dish that we had never had before, so we decided to try it. I have no idea what this dish is because I've never even seen it in NYC, but it was amazing-- toasted bread pieces with shrimp and a cream/cheese-like sauce. It was super indulgent but incredible all the same. The main courses were all in all good. The chicken rice was kinda like a niu rou fan (the minced pork over rice Taiwanese rice dish) but just chicken. It was an interesting serving method-- with the chicken stock on the side. I was a little confused because I wasn't sure if it was supposed to end up as a soup? But no, the rice just absorbs the soup and makes it more flavorful! The pho was a standout only because of the sheer amount of meat they gave us. We got the three beef pho (so brisket, steak, AND meatballs). I have never seen any restaurant be THIS generous with the meat. I split this bowl with my sister and it didn't even seem like I'd eaten any meat when I passed it over to her after eating half. The noodles were a little too al dente for me, but that fact was completely overshadowed by the fact that we got a. ton. of meat. We went to 3 Vietnamese places while in Germany and I'd definitely say this was my favorite!
