His office is state of the art with more dental technology than I ever knew existed. His staff was extremely clean and friendly and they were able to talk me through the whole process so I felt extremely comfortable. My teeth came out whiter than ever and I never once experienced any sensitivity. He has sense taken over all my dental cleanings and work. I was even able to maintain my regularly scheduled visit during the COVID 19 outbreak. He had dedicated staff members sanitizing his office and he welcomed me at the door. Update: I've recently learned that he offers his own membership plan that helps save money and offers exclusive discounts. Considering switching over to it from my dental insurance. Worth looking in to.

I would not recommend North Scottsdale Dental Studio…read more I have been a patient at this office for several years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I arrived for my scheduled appointment with Dr. Mabry after completing my pre-check-in less than a week prior. I had also recently spoken with a staff member, confirmed details about my visit, and even had the hygienist's name noted that I was scheduled with, so I had every reason to believe my appointment was set. Unfortunately, from the moment I walked in, the experience felt uncomfortable. The front desk staff appeared confused when I checked in, and I observed eye-rolling and dismissive behavior that immediately made me feel unwelcome. It became apparent that they may have been expecting to leave for the day and were surprised to see me arrive for my appointment. When the two ladies at the front told me I didn't have an appointment, I showed them that I had been receiving appointment reminders and phone calls from their office, rather than apologizing or offering a solution, I was told that I hadn't been seen since April and that my phone number was showing as "not deliverable" in their system--even though I was literally showing them the messages I had received from that same office. No one took ownership of the issue, offered an explanation, or made an effort to resolve it. This was not the first concern I've had with the practice. Over the years, there were occasions when I was scheduled with a different dentist instead of the provider I expected, without clear communication. During one visit with a newer dentist, I was told I suddenly had three cavities that needed treatment shortly after receiving a crown. The diagnosis felt questionable, and even the hygienist expressed concerns to me about the recommendations being made. That experience significantly impacted my trust in the practice. Combined with the high staff turnover I've observed over the years, the lack of professionalism and poor handling of my most recent appointment was enough for me to decide to leave. Rather than feeling valued as a long-time patient, I felt dismissed and blamed for an issue that appeared to originate within the office. I left without being seen and will be finding a new dental office moving forward.

Being in the dental field myself, I have some insight, and choosing this practice was an easy decision given their stellar work and outstanding reputation within the professional community. You truly can't go wrong with any of their providers. Today I saw Toby for a cleaning and Dr. Murphy for a filling, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The visit was incredibly thorough -- Toby used state-of-the-art technology for an oral cancer screening, full periodontal charting, and more. The equipment used for the cleaning was comfortable, efficient, and spotless (also state-of-the-art). When I mentioned that I'd like to get my filling done the same day if possible, Dr. Murphy fit me into her schedule which was a nice surprise. The local anesthesia was completely painless, and the entire team was warm, personable, and great to talk to. Plus, having TVs on the ceiling made the time in the chair fly by. If you're looking for a dental home, this practice more than lives up to the hype.

I got a crown about a week ago and thought nothing about getting it at this practice because of my past experience at Pinnacle Modern Dentistry. It was not a good experience. There are two reasons for this: the dental assistant was bad and the dentist didn't take the time and care needed when doing my crown. Getting xrays done by the dental assistant was excruciating. I don't think she knew what she was doing. Eventually she called in a person who had done my xrays before and he was good. When she was assisting the dentist, she sprayed water straight down my throat which felt like I was drowning. When I came back to talk about my dissatisfaction with my crown, I had to repeat over and over that it was too small and not symmetric with the other tooth on the other side of my mouth. When I became frustrated, all she said is that she was trying to find out what was wrong so she could tell the dentist. I wondered why the dentist was not asking me directly. The dentist was good with respect to numbing me before the crown extraction and doing the extraction itself. The dental assistant then did the laser measuring for the new crown that was to be made. Again I don't think she knew how to do it correctly. Once the crown was put in my mouth, I was asked how it felt and I said fine, although I was so numb I couldn't feel it. I was asked to sign something stating that I liked the crown. I signed it but it is obvious I should not have done so. Once the numbing wore off, I could immediately tell that the tooth was too small, too short and not symmetric with the other side of my mouth. The dentist said it was a good crown and I asked her what would be needed to rectify the situation. She told me that a new crown was the only option. I decided that I did not have the confidence in this dental practice to get a new crown, especially with the current dental situation so I went elsewhere. I will not come back to Pinnacle Modern Dentistry.

He is the kindest person and I feel privileged to receive his services! 2022 Updated review (teeth cleaning): From cheery staff to really caring dental assistants, and of course the good Doctor himself, this practice shines above all others in the Southwest. Stating that I have a challenging mouth almost trivializes what I have been through over the years, and Dr Woodruff is the first to be up to the task. Other than an emergency visit I paid to another dentist in DC, he has been the best in my life. Why? Because he is obsessive with his patients' satisfaction. That and he is very detail oriented throughout the treatment process. Amazing professional, and Phoenix/Scottsdale is lucky to have him. Updated 2022. His dental hygienists are also stellar, caring for what is probably THE most important consideration in preventive dentistry.
