Back in February, while I was inside my workplace, Cantu wrecker towing service towed my car, without even checking a vin number or license plate number, I went out after work and noticed it was gone. I was in luck that a police officer saw the company that got it, we called them from the police station, they explained that it was an accident???? and would bring back the car. 4 hours later, it was brought back, and the rear end differential went out of my car from them dragging it off their tow truck! So, the owner said he would make it right, got me a rental car, pay for the damages and I took my car to a mechanic of my choice. It's now been over 4 weeks, my car has been fixed for over two weeks but owner of Cantu will not go pay for my car as of today...3/24/2025 What kind of business can do this and stay in business!! They towed our son's truck and hit another truck in the process. Come to find out that the truck they used for towing his truck has no insurance!! This has been so frustrating and THE OWNER NEVER CALLED US TO OFFER ANY APOLOGY!! So we're now stuck with the cost and my son has no truck!!! read more

This is legit the worst company. That's why they've got their license removed I have no idea how they got it back. Forget towing, out of every company to exist Cantu wrecker is the absolute worst. Just look at all their reviews. Nothing but bad reviews and the ones that gave 5 stars are just family !!! Cantu wrecking is nothing but a big family that think they can run everything and think they're big dogs and they run the show. Last night my car was being illegally towed. I have a rental at the moment. My landlord knows I have a rental. Cantu spoke with her and she told them to leave my vehicle alone, they unhitch it but only after some scrawny little 16 year old looking dude instigated everything. They escalated the situation. Then they tried towing my neighbors car and they didn't even hitch it on right ! The car was being dragged and making a screeching sound. My neighbors were going back and forth with Cantu and then Cantu calls for back up, a jeep comes with a huge guy and two big girls only to stir up more heat and drama !! Litteraly what was the point of that jeep coming. They are making accusations saying my bf pulled out a gun on them, we don't even own a gun !! My landlord said they have cameras on the trucks and I said to please go back and look at them because we didn't do anything like that that's a serious accusation. When 1 hour later after they left, the "owner" comes back and so does that jeep with VENGENCE!!! Immediately he started hooking up my rental and I said oh heck no we just went ober this and he said that he got his feelings hurt and so he was back. They came back because their ego got hurt LOL. my landlord had to personally come here and tell them not to take my vehicle and I had to call the police !!! Ok this is ridiculous story but it is 100% true. So on Friday night we went to La Diosa and parked in a lot across the street that had a bunch of cars and didn't see a sign saying "Taco Hell" parking only. When we came out ALL of the cars were towed. We called them and they said I couldn't pick up my car or get my stuff until morning (which is illegal). Anyway I go and they DO charge me for an extra overnight fee. Okay anyway I was googling and "Taco Hell" doesn't exist. The number the tow company gave us for Taco Hell is the same number for the towing place. The towing place is using a FAKE BUSINESS to tow people and make $300 a car. They don't want to take responsibility that they ripped my front bumper off back on January while towing it to a shop with a damn wheel lift that you use on a truck or on a car that is not low. At the time I did not know that my camaro should have been towed on a flat bed but the man that towed my car should have known that, he tows cars for a living! They are trying to blame me saying it was my fault, like wtf my front bumper was on before he picked it up and it came off when he was towing it to a shop. These folks towed my daughters car this weekend. Yes she was parked in the wrong place..I get it. But they tore up the car in the process. They towed it with a wheel on the ground..it is all wheel drive..tire up the tire, burned up the rear differential. Went to the tow shop and they told us "to get the f**k out of here". My car was already on the hitch and they said there was nothing they could do. So i hopped in my car and honked the horn until they put my car down. Other people from my apartment complex came out and said they did the same thing to them. There were 2 other cantu trucks picking up cars that had stickers too. They picked up 2 vehicles and moved them a block away. When they found out I knew what they were doing and recording them they moved those 2 cars back to their spots. If I could give 0 stars I would. First off, they towed our car to a garage that we had chosen with our insurance company, but never had the conversation with the garage that they were brining the car so they tried to make it our problem since the garage had no space to store the car until it could be inspected for damages. Next, when we got home, we saw that they scraped the bottom of the car on the driveway, and caused visible damage. The kicker of the whole situation is when we contacted them, they wanted us to push it off until after Christmas because their boss is already out of town for the weekend. I'm sorry, but damaging someone's property because your drivers are irresponsible is something that you have to handle when you own a business. And then hanging up in my boyfriends face because he said that he wants the boss to handle it now? Yeah they definitely will never have our business in the future. So disrespectful on so many levels, the owner should be ashamed to have employees like that. The most awful place. I am a 20 year old female who got her car towed which was understandable bc I shouldn't have parked where i did but when i went to get my car the place was so sketchy. Was waiting at the college and noticed these poor college guys' Jeep had broken down at the stop sign near the college. They pushed across and parked at a building that gives $1.00 lunches today, they went in and came out with 2 pizza boxes, they looked all excited, I guess they were going to sit in the Jeep and enjoy their pizzas, only to find that they had locked themselves out of the car. Talk about bad luck. A Cantu Towing truck showed up to tow the Jeep because they had left it in a no parking zone, Cantu's driver let them pushed it to a valid parking space. I guess they were going to try and walk somewhere for help but didn't want to walk with pizza boxes, because they put them on top of the Jeep and covered them with their jackets; it was really cold out but they started walking. Cantu's towing left after they parked in a valid parking space, but then was circling around, once the boys were out of sight the low life tows their Jeep....it's pathetic that a company can be such low lives for a buck, knowing full well their Jeep was not working, you could tell from a distance they were college students and that they had pushed it to a valid parking space. Was towed through our insurance company, driver was very rude. Whiling delivering the vehicle, driver backed up the car while on park and hand brakes on, scrapping the tires all the way down. Not only that, driver had the car backing on an incline and damaged the front bumper and have made other damages to the undercarriage rendering the car not even able to turn on. Worst experience of my life. I am a 21 year old female who broke down at 5:30 in the morning, AAA had requested that this towing would be picking me up, at the very latest 7:45 am (which is already ridiculous). At 8:15 i called AAA again and was told it would be another 15 minutes. After that time was up i called the company itself and there was "miscommunication"and it would be yet another 15 minutes. I then received a call from the driver asking to explain where i was, after already giving a detailed explanation. I am currently still in the side of the road at 9:30 am.
