Great service. Very prompt. I called several other places and no one would deliver same day except canton topsoil. I am very satisfied.

Schwartz's Greenhouse - Annual flowers and plants

Pricing was very fair and right in line with other local greenhouses. The staff was extremely helpful, which made the experience even better. I also appreciated the clean parking lot and the high-quality carts--they're big, move smoothly, and fit easily through the aisles. Highly recommend!

And it's not that that it's anything particularly unique (although some of those supertunia's are REALLY cool looking), they just happen to carry a lot more stock of other annuals outside of begonias and petunias. I went to a couple of shops before going to Schwartz's and I found things I hadn't elsewhere including flats of a variety of zinnias, marigolds, TONS of dahlias this time around (both large plants and smaller), a few varieties of alyssum and lantana for my pollinators, snap dragons, etc. Oh and SO many different types of tomatoes in both smaller starter sizes and more established plants. Prices have crept up over the years like most places but they're still mid-range. Meaning they're not the cheapest in the area but still more affordable than a lot of competitors/big box stores and the quality and selection is top notch. Staff is also really lovely and helpful (pointing me in the direction of the herbs when I couldn't find them) and I'm still amazed how they can check out these massive carts of flowers and flats so effortlessly. I would go nuts trying to make sense of it all. It's truly a gift and they're all great at what they do.

I enjoy walking through the store and admiring their products but I don't always end up buying. There are some price markdowns throughout the year for better deals. If price isn't a concern, Banotai is a great place to stock up on all kinds of annuals, perennials, and vegetable plants.

And we have a lot of it. 4 days later and I'm still sore! This year was made even more challenging by COVID-19. I love my garden but did not want to sacrifice my health or the health of my loved ones by doing my regular yearly greenhouse trip. I had started looking for curbside pick up options from local greenhouses and saw a friend post on IG that they had gone to Banotai, as they had done for decades, to get their garden plants this year. I peeked at their website and was pleased to find that they had an online ordering system, which made the process even easier. I placed my order and by the next day it was ready. I pulled up my car to the designated waiting spaces and opened the trunk and they loaded it right in. Unfortunately they were out of a few things I ordered, but they refunded my purchase very quickly and the plants I did recieve were in beautiful condition. Nice and strong and well cared for. FYI--There were a decent number of folks shopping here and I'd say only half of them were wearing masks. So if that's important to you (and it should be!) curbside might be your way to go.

Upon arrival we were greeted by an employee who filled us in that they were still in the process of opening and the interior of the shop was still under construction but they did have outdoor items like trees, garland, wreaths as well as a few tables of some light holiday decor and some Amish baked goods set up alongside the building under the eaves available for purchase. I wasn't in the market for a tree but I had been toying with the idea of doing the tension rod garland thing in our dining room so I decided to investigate those offerings. They had a number of different greenery options and several standard lengths which were either too short or too long for what I was looking for. However, they let me know they'd happily cut any option I'd like down to size. SOLD! In the end I chose a mix of a few different greenery pieces bundled together and they cut and secured it for me for easy transportation (my car smelled AMAZING btw). The rod I had gotten was a bit finicky so I had some trouble getting it set up but the garland itself hung in their perfectly, shedding only a few needles even though I manhandled the poor thing trying to secure it to the doorframe. Once I got it up I strung a garland of vintage lead glass ornaments from it and tucked in some faux berries and glittery things sticks, and wove in some some twinkle lights and it was gorgeous! It made me so happy every time I looked at it. It also lasted beautifully through the whole season barely dropping any needles and stayed lush looking for almost a month. Since that visit I've keep an eye on their socials and saw that they seem to be gearing up towards a spring opening. I can't wait to see what their garden offerings may be and how they utilize the building. The space is huge so I'm excited to see what they do with it. Oh, the owner's dog hangs out on premises and is the sweetest black lab that came over often to say hi and get pats. 5 stars for the biz but also 5 stars for the goodest of good boys!
