This is a great little Chinese restaurant specialising in Peking and Cantonese cuisine and…read moreeveryting is cooked to an extremely high standard. Now I'm not usually a fan of the whole 'all you can eat' option as I don't have a huge appetite at the best of times and it usually means the food is pretty sub-standard but this place is the exception to the rule. For £11 you get as many fantastic starters as you can shovel onto your plate and for an extra £2 you can order some crispy duck or my favourite, the crispy lamb. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the drinks are offered as soon as your glass is empty. The house wine is excellent value for money and not bad at all. Say goodbye to the diet!

Their set menu is very expansive and comes in at £11 per head for starters and main courses. They also add in aromatic duck or lamb for a extra couple of quid. What makes this such a good deal is the range of dishes available. Some places who offer the same kind of eat as much as you like deal will limit the menu, but here you get king prawns dishes and chicken breast as standard. They can be a bit reluctant to offer more than 1 round of starters, but if you stick to your guns they will bring out more than the obligatory 1 round. Of the main courses the sizzling dishes stand out from the crowd and the overall quality of the food is great. The drinks menu is pretty well rounded, but they will try and fill your glasses quickly to encourage additional wet sales. I would say that this is one of the best Chinese places to eat at in the town. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad we chose the Jade since we were told it was smaller portions compared to the other menu. We barely finished! Appetizers were: Mandarin Chicken Wings, Firecracker Pork Ribs, Sesame Prawn Toast, Smoked Chicken, and Hoi Choi. We ate everything because it was all delicious. Before the main dishes: Crispy Aromatic Duck, they will ask you if you want it shredded, which was nice. Tasted great and I liked how you got to build you own duck wrap with bits of cucumber and green onion. You did have to put the sauce on it as we felt the duck didn't have its own flavor but it was still good! For the main dishes: Chicken with Black Pepper Honey Soy Sauce, Crispy shredded Chilli Beef, Lychee, Honey Lemon crispy King Prawns, and Special Fried Rice The black pepper chicken was really flavorful but eating continuously is just a buildup of all that black pepper so even though I wanted to keep eating it, you had to sample other dishes or eat rice to calm the black pepper down. The king prawns were really good, very sweet! The special rice was tasty, loaded with bits of different meats and shrimp. I didn't care for the crispy beef, to me it tasted like eating pork rinds with sauce drizzled over it.

Its a great place to head with a large group as they are really quick at getting the food out at the same time. None of that waiting around to start as someone still hasn't got their plate. The crispy duck is out of this World in here and really good value for money. I usually have a good few different starters and then get stuck into the duck and pancakes for a main.

Anyone and everyone in Brighton and Hove should be careful of these people. When I first called…read morethese people I was met with a lovely person although when I started to explain the problems they immediatly got very defensive and blamed it on the fact that this was the first time I ordered which was nearly £40. I have no problem with the price if the food is worth it, although nothing about this entire experience has been worth it I understand that this was the first time I ordered although such massive problems cant have just only happened to me. The wontons were so small with meat I thought they had made a mistake and only put in the crispy bits. I was told that this is the way they do it. The containers were some of the smallest I have ever seen and were not even filled. One of the containers (which was at the bottom of the bag) had a corner broken off of it and was blamed on delivery, although when I explained it was at the bottom of the bag and there was no broken plastic anywhere I was informed it was still the delivery drivers fault (who was on a moped, which is understandable if there was eveidence of the broken piece)......... Does this mean that the delivery drivery driver picked out the broken piece or that the person who handled my food container was so careless that they didnt even realise????? There was no display of the fact that I would get dipping sauce with my won tons so I ordered a sauce (£2.50) and when my order came there was a sauce already with it, fine thats not a problem, in fact thats a good thing I get free sauce with my won tons, although maybe a side note when im ordering it wouldve been good so I knew that there was already sauce with it so i didnt have to buy sauce for no reason. Included is a few pictures I took to show the appaling quality to which I recieved.
