Second visit in three weeks today...and not disappointing at all. Very friendly, kind attentive…read morestaff who are quick to seat you and get your drinks while you peruse the menu. Outstanding value with the Lunch time buffet. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area, and less expensive,...but you can't go wrong here. A two course lunch with plenty of selection of Starters and Main course. Reccomend you try it...

Went in and told closed at 2.30pm and said would be out by then. Got seated and took coat off, ready to order as always know what want but then came in Chinese man (waiter??) from back and said a few things to girl who seated me and just said last orders for food 2pm (it was still 1.50 !!!) and then said "too late", no I'm ever so sorry or even sorry and that was it coat on shown the door!!!!! Very bad service Very bad manners Really rude Not bothered Just a few words to describe the place. If you don't look worth the bother (only 1 meal) and you are anywhere near 40 minutes to closing expect the above treatment. I told them I would post a review (they didn't seem at all bothered) so here it is. I was only scouting to see what food like as was looking for a Chinese to book a party of 45 for a networking group I belong to. Good luck in your fortune inn because you have blown it for any booking from us and anyone we know. Don't you know 1 person not happy tells 10 other people they know. Multiply that by 45. Don't know what food is as never given the chance to try. Thoroughly embarrassing experience

I was in Brighton for a conference in mid-September 2023 and decided to try this Vietnamese…read morerestaurant for an early dinner (5:45pm) on a Wednesday. First, the food quality is good and reasonably priced (13 pounds). I ordered the big bowl pho soup includes noodles, meatballs, and beef with a side helping of bean sprouts to add. It was satisfying and hearty. The only blemish was that the broth had a bit more fat than I would have liked. Location is convenient for visitors to Brighton. It's on Preston Street near the Waitrose supermarket. From the Brighton I-360 tourist attraction, it's about 1-2 blocks north away from the water. From Churchill Square (near the clock tower), it's about a 5-7 minute walk to the west (along the street that is reserved for buses and taxis only). The restaurant is a bit tiny - I would recommend it for solo diner or couples. It's not convenient for a large group. Preston Street has a nice boba tea shop across the way and other restaurants that are worth a look-see. Overall, I would recommend "the Big Bowl" for visitors to Brighton who are looking for authentic Vietnamese pho.

I ordered the Bún cha combo which has vermicelli noodles, grilled pork, chicken and a spring roll. It comes with a dipping sauce that's a mixture of lemon juice, ginger, chilli, garlic and vinegar. It was tasty and cost just under £9. Service was very friendly and nice. I will definitely come back and try other items on the menu!
