We started off our meal with anchovies swimming in olive oil that paired perfectly with buttered bread. My main dish was the saffron risotto and Ossobucco ( a Milanese staple). The veal was so soft that it melted right in my mouth. My brother ordered the Mezze Maniche alla carbonara with black truffles. Are there better restaurants in nearby? Absolutely!! I started with a Grand Prix which was Campari, rhubarb and China liquor, hazelnut, fig and seltzer. It ended up tasting like and adult cola which was great. I next tried the Montego Bay which was bourbon, rum, sherry, lime, honey and pimento dram. It was a very refreshing cocktail served in a coupe. The snacks are great and include some house made pizzette puffs which were our favorite. Later they walked us across the street to their tiki bar location and treated us to a drink. This location is also worth an evening if you want to try something fairly unique. Fantastic experience.

What I didn't like was the few food that was brought to us as "aperitivo food", I was not expecting a typical Milanese buffet, but something other than popcorn would have been appreciated. They have dinner options but I didn't get to see the menu. 2 people in our party ordered some food and it looked good (not very English-pub portions, though). Also, I would have appreciated a printed menu with the beers they had, sure the nice waitress did her best to help us pick one based on our preferences but I would have liked to read more about the beer before ordering it. I had a cider (didn't like its taste) and a nice Sierra Nevada, suggested by Yelper Raquel. Prices are high, even if you consider the beer quality, it's central Milan, blah, blah, blah - there's always an excuse not to keep reasonable prices. Anyhow, the atmosphere was OK and our evening was nice (loved meeting and getting to speak with everyone in our party), unfortunately I was expecting more from the place. Small and cozy (without being cramped) the dining room here is unfussy, but welcoming, just like the staff. There are no menus here - the food - whatever is fresh and meeting the chef's standards - comes in waves with wines selected to pair with what's being served. The number of courses seems to be optional/at the diners' discretion, as do multiple prosciutto and cheese courses. (Yes, multiple.) We came on the heels of post pandemic reopening with our 12 year old daughter (who was treated like a princess) and were fortunate to find it open and living up to its reputation among locals. This wasn't just one of the best meals we had during two weeks of gluttony across northern Italy, but also one of the most reasonable. Bravissimo!

As for the coffee and pastry I ordered, it was just about ok, nothing special. The service was also very slow. I wouldn't recommend this place especially if you're going in alone and want to spend some time working or to read a book.

Not the best in the world but certainly better than the average. I would highly recommend the Moscow Donkey for a warm summers day as it was very refreshing! The only thing I would mention is the service was pretty poor. It took us about 10-15minutes to get our orders taken, and then we had to wait at least another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. If you're not in any rush (like us) then it's perfectly fine, but I would imagine it being quite annoying if you had somewhere to be afterwards. Overall it was above average drinks, below average service and a great relaxed ambience.
