A year and a half later, we're having to find someone else to finish the job. The project is only about two-thirds of the way done, even though we've paid nearly the full quoted amount. Despite a big upfront payment, Luis continually asked us for more money to "accelerate the work" but we never saw more than incremental progress and long stretches with no work at all. We've now hired a lawyer to try to recover the money we paid for work that was never completed (or in some cases never even started). This has been an incredibly stressful situation over the last year, and has caused our family a major financial loss. I wouldn't wish what we have been through on anyone. I can give more info on request, but really, just find a different contractor to work with.
