It is a very fun place to live in. And sometimes nice staff, but the only thing is.. it is extremely trashy. There is dog poop owners have not picked up, there is cups and stuff all in parking spots. And so much stuff that can get better. Along with the playground! It is a complete mess. There is inappropriate graffiti on the rhinos head and trash within it. Most of the playground set has spiders and such. And there is only one swing holding on. Other than that, the people who live there are pretty great. I can see Canterbury having a very bright and happy future. But the people need to take part and help fix it. read more

Spiders and roaches everywhere you look and step. Management needs to be replaced cause these new people just want your money. Add on fees for every little thing. Front gate never seems to work for like half the year as well as the swimming pool. Honestly 1600 a month, I would much rather live in my car. This place just isn't worth dealing with the management and all its nastiness. Been here for the worst 2 years. Also if you have animals i would stay as far away from this place as possible. Communication wasn't the best which I find to be very important. Prior to moving in my roommate did I gave them the date that would be happening. Then the next time we saw them they claimed they didn't have the actual date. They hadn't had the apartment cleaned. We were on terrace level so their excuse was it's been vacant and there's woods. But when they showed us the apartment, one of the agents saw a dead roach and kicked it to the side. We were told they'd do a rush clean. The next day when it was time to move in nothing had been touched. At all. The dead roach was still there by the way. We had to sweep off the porch. I didn't trust them after that. We moved into a dirty apartment with cobwebs and dead bugs and sunflower seeds. The only thing there that face it a clean appearance was the air freshener. It's June and I've been gone since January. The complex is to contact the utility company when you leave far your things turned off. I was charged for an extra month. The apartment then told me I had to contact the company for utilities for my refund, but the utility company was consistent with telling me they sent the credit to canterbury and they should be refunding. For months I've been waiting to find out how to get it leaving messages and emails with excuse after excuse as to why I haven't heard back. Please read the poor reviews before choosing this place. I am very impressed with the staff, maintenance men, and cleanliness of the grounds of these apartments. I haven't lived in a apartment since I was in my 20's. Now in my 40's and a single mom of a young child, I found myself needing to find something fast as everyone seems to be selling and not renting in my area. After looking at several apartments in the area, I found Canterbury Ridge Apts. I have to say the size and views really impressed me. Everything is on point here.. The staff is extremely down to to earth and helpful. I have to give a special shout out to Ben the leasing manager. He went above and beyond helping my daughter and I get in as fast as he did. He even stayed an hour past closing on a Sat to get all paperwork finished up and our keys cut all last minute. I have had one minor maintenance issue and they were at my door within 20 mins on a Friday afternoon. From what I've read with other apartments and even rental house management companies Nobody is at your door in 20 mins ready to fix any issue. I'm very impressed with the whole Canterbury crew. I actually love my apartment, it's even got a huge balcony with a beautiful view. i think you're are only as good as the people in charge. The staff is the backbone of these apartments. Looks are deceiving. They have all sorts of rules and policies! That's all well and good, but they dont enforce them. They allow pets, with a monthly fee. But if your dog is a service dog, you pay no fee. But since when is having multiple large dogs in one apartment considered service dogs. Then to top it off, they aren't responsible for cleaning up their BIG PILES OF POOP!! These people will walk their dogs in front of ground floor apts and allow their dog to poop right there and just walk off and leave it. You cant walk anywhere without watching every step, including the paved areas. On the 4th of July, there were residents shooting pistols into the air. Management said nothing could be done about it! I would not recommend living at this complex. I have had a very negative experience with bugs, maintenance issues, and management. When I approached management about how unhappy I was, they seemed unconcerned with changing my opinion. I had to wait two weeks to have a toilet unclogged. I requested someone to come to spray for bugs, but bc I was transferred to their off site leasing office the issue was not filed properly so I had to wait for three weeks. I cannot wait to move out, and would not recommend bringing a family here. read more

Bugs everywhere and on top of that we have a huge water leak and management/mantainence hasn't done anything and it's been 10days. Do not move here, praying i can make it through my lease. Well after two years this place has gone to hell. Our carpet is completely worn out the seams are coming undone. An air conditioning repair that was done in April still has drywall that has yet to be repaired. Went two months waiting on ice maker repair. The roaches are out of control. The exterminator is useless. I was here when they came to supposedly change batteries in all smoke detectors and replace filters and flaps, the checked one detector, didn't open HVAC closet, looked in one toilet. The assistant manager is useless. If you ask her a question she calls police and has you removed from office. And banned. Can't even pay rent in person. Or report any issues or use the amenities. All because I asked for a copy of my lease. Then she callede a racist to the police officer. The police officer said I was the tenth person he has had to come out for. Shes only been here a few months. Can't wait toove in June. read more

The staff is great, how ever if you live on the first floor be prepaid for horrible noise. I don't think the floors are insulated very well. Our upstairs neighbors have multiple children and all day everyday there's stomping and running and it shakes our apartment to the point where we don't wait to hang pictures on our walls and it's making my ptsd and anxiety so bad. We were original planing on being here two years but at this point I'm in the process of my therapist recommending we move due my metal safety. I would like to take a moment to point out the professionalism of the staff and expecially the acting manager curtis. Getting in he was extremley helpful, didnt make promises he couldnt keep, and he's walked me through the whole process. My apartment is clean and prestine, the grounds from what i see around me are as well. Quite peacful community I am now proud to be apart of. Im a two time combat veteran and Im humbled by the professionalism and customer service the staff has demonstrated. The worst place to live!!!! Do not move in run away as fast as you can. They might make it look nice and calm but it is anything but nice and calm to live here. Trash is everywhere, no one picks up after their dogs. People use the playground as a dog bathroom area. So the play equipment is covered in dog feces and urine, they don't clean the park either. The swings are missing. In the past 2 months there have been at least 3 nights with guns being shot into the apartment across from my building. The drug use and leaving NEEDLES everywhere. The cameras don't work on the gate. Neither does the gate half the time. And to top it all off my motorcycle was stolen and they can't provide security footage of the gate to see whoever driving out with my bike we are also in the he very back of the complex so not seen from road. My motorcycle should not have been stolen. The can't even give basic security, and I pay 1615.00 a month and they tell me cameras don't work??? Make sense of that. THIS PLACE SUCKS DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!! The price range is ridiculous for the things we go through here. We have horrible bugs, noisy neighbors that can be heard through the walls banging and screaming, theres a chicken farm where they kill chickens a couple miles away so you'll smell dead chicken, the jail is right next to it and there are cops in this apartment every day and the apartment refuses to tell us why. Oh ya btw we all share the same water so your water bill will never actually be what you used. We get fined if we have lights on our balcony too. We are paying for the upgrades at this apartment, the pool, the new interior, new paint etc. NOBODY MOVE IN HERE SERIOUSLY.. teens, young adults, adults and seniors I swear you will hate your life if you live here. I am very disappointed in the property an the communication with the leasing agents. I applied to live in this community on Thursday June 13,2019. I asked for a code of conduct paper to check what all will disqualify you from getting the apartment. I never received the paper . I went ahead and applied for the apartment. I was denied for a back ground check from a year an a half ago. I called to talk to someone about this and they haven't got back with me. I am waiting to speak to the leasing agent or the manger about this. I also was charged 125.00 Admin Fee(market rent only). I have a housing choice voucher an still got charge 125.00, plus 200.00 deposit. I am waiting on a response from them now It looks like a great community an I am sad that this has happen to me . Horrible experience. Very unprofessional staff who is not knowledgeable. Unresponsive when complaints are made and refuse to handle noise complaints. Grounds are constantly littered and loitering by less than mediocre individuals is constant. Rule are not followed even by employees who live in the complex.
