Lived here 8 years ago. The place was cockroach infested. I'd sleep with my lights on. Never in my life have I ever lived in anything like that. I was pregnant so it took a lot to get out. They tried to say it was from the woods no way! Took me a year after moving out to get over the ptsd from the bugs. read more

I'm a traveling PT and Ive lived in a lot of apartments across the country and this is by far the worst environment I have ever lived in. Absolutely infested with cockroaches. I wish I could post pictures on here because words don't even make one understand how bad it is. read more

Potential renters BEWARE: Today I assisted a fellow coworker with his relocation to the Heritage at Riverstone "Luxury Apartments ". Luxury apartments, what a joke, maybe they meant "Luxury if you were previously homeless apartments". First the family signed a lease for 1 year, they paid their first, last and security deposit and were told to arrive at 10:00 a.m. to finish their paperwork, which they did. They were also informed that the property would be "move in ready" at 10:00 a.m. which it was not. Upon our arrival to move their personal belongings into the apartment, it was discovered that maintenance crews as well as cleaning crews were just starting repairs and cleaning procedures from the previous tennants. My coworker, his wife and two small children were promised that the carpets would be replaced, fresh paint would be applied and the apartment would be clean and ready upon their arrival. After we arrived my coworker and his wife as well as myself and a few others helping with the move inspected the unit. There was trash and debris in every single room in the apartment. Doors were ripped clean off the hinges, countertops and sinks that were stained and dirty. There was standing and stagnant water inside the apartment on the floors. The apartment absolutely did not resemble the "model apartment " they had been shown prior to signing their lease. The apartment reeked of urine, cigarette smoke, and mildew. Honestly it resembled a hovell that a group of vagrants had been squatting in. The cleaning crews informed the couple it would be at least two more hours before they would be able to conduct their walk through much less start to move in. Mind you, this family had rented a Uhaul truck to move their personal belongings. Which had a return time of 2 p.m., that was based upon a move in time of 10 a.m. that was provided by the Heritage at Riverstone Luxury Apartments management team. Due to the delay, the family was in breach of the rental agreement for this vehicle and incurred additional rental expenses for a late return. After allowing the cleaning crews and maintenance crews the additional time of two hours, they still had not completed the job. The couple went to discuss these matters with members of management for the complex who were far less than accommodating and had no restitution to offer this couple. Afterwards everyone who was assisting them with this move walked and inspected the apartment for themselves, myself included after the cleaning crews had exited and "finished cleaning". We discovered a tub that was left half filled with dirty water and cleaning solvents still in it. Again, they have two small children, and you leave dirty water with cleaning solvents in it?! The apartment still reeked of cigarette smoke. Yet again, the couple went back to the management team to discuss their disappointment with the situation and inform them that they had in fact decided against moving into the Heritage at Riverstone Apartment Complex. When the couple requested that they ne refunded, management informed them that it would take them a few days to a week to refund them their money. This forced my coworker to secure a last minute storage rental unit to temporarily store their belongings in while they search for another apartment to lease. Yet another added expense to an already disastrous day. My coworker then proceeded to apologize to all those who came to help his family move for tying up their entire day. This is unacceptable, this man should not have had to apologize to us for a company's incompetence! Nor should he, his wife and family have to bear the burden of additional expenses due to a breach of contract that was caused by the Heritage at Riverstone Luxury apartments staff. It is my intent to report this to the Better Business Bureau as well as their corporate offices. If this is how this company conducts business and treats potential tenants then it is my duty to protect other families by reporting them. read more

Everything has completely changed around in this apartment complex. The new office team has taken a wild horse by the reigns and tamed it.

I live here and have constant unresolved issues with my heat. I have called and explained multiple times they have attempted different things to repair and at this point i am pretty sure they have no clue what they are doing. The temperature is 16 at night outside now and as a single mom this is really frustrating. My heat only blows warm air in the emergency heat mode. I have never paid my rent late and have tried not to complain much, but this is ridiculous. Heritage Riverstone Review Nightmare on Heritage Drive is what I experienced over a period of almost two years. My initial walkthrough was a disaster. Not clean. On the second walkthrough, a list was made including light bulbs out, doors that would close (and never did), part of kitchen countertop ripped off (never fixed), screens ripped or bent so that you could not open the window. Someone, between the first and second cleaning broke the oven glass - replaced with an inferior stove with no self-cleaning; someone filled the garbage disposal with trash and the master tub with a plastic water bottle cap so that the water would not drain. The dishwasher overflowed on first use and was replaced, though they did not move it into the space properly so you had to be careful not to snag your clothes; no stopper was available for the sink so doing dishes was a joy! Fridge did not make ice and was dented so that was replaced and when doing so, maintenance ripped the floor. None of the outlets worked on the island. The mail box key did work most of the time. The front door was not secure and so I put a chair in front of it at night for security. The dryer connection requires the vent to blow upward; a problem as I found they had obviously not cleaned the venting system in a while - and never while I was there. So, I had a black powder in my dryer. This is dangerous, by-the-way, a fire hazard. Also, the only time they cleaned my level was when the painted the entire complex. AND, I finally started taking my trash to the dumpster on my own as our level would be forgotten. You're fined if you don't move your stinky trash indoors...and the trash compactor did not work for over a month...great smell! But the two biggest problems were caused because apartment was on what they call the 'terrace level'. DO NOT RENT on this level, especially if you are in the back of the complex. BUGS were a huge problem and nothing they did helped. I would wake in the morning and have to put shoes on because I would step on them. They came in where the HVAC was and the door, which even when secured and sealed, still would require me to sweep dead bugs and spiders from the floor. I found a grasshopper in a kitchen drawer and when I moved there were dead bugs in my bottom dresser drawer. The worse, though, was MOLD which was a horrific battle for my last 6 months. The apartment was underground on two sides. The third side was in an enclosed hallway. One side faced a hill with no water control. During heavy rains, I could only cross my fingers that the river in front of my patio would not flood. Mold was a big problem in the kitchen and master bedroom, with much of my clothes soon becoming covered in mold and they would not pay for dry cleaning. They had two companies inspect the property, the first one recommended to me a demolition. He found water heading under the floor half-way through the entire apartment. Some of the floor was crumbling; you could tell by walking on it. The second company found structural damage and I had to move out of the apartment once 'repaired' for cleaning. I had to run a dehumidifier and they did not pay for the additional electricity - plus none of the doors would close at that point. I asked for another apartment to no avail. After the cleaning and I moved back after living in a local hotel, I found more mold and that did it for me! While moving out, I found some boxes were water stained, so the first company was correct - there was a leak emanating also from the second bath. After moving it took me about a month to clean everything to rid y stuff from the smell. Some things were still mold covered and had to be discarded for anything made of wood and certain kinds of plastic hold that smell. My insurance would not cover any of this as I did not have 'flood insurance' - where mold comes from - even though you are nowhere near a body of water, just poor property design. So you should have flood insurance living on this level. I know of one other complaint of water in an apartment so I am not the only complaint. Move across the street to the new complex being built. You will get no help/sympathy from this management company or any of the management companies that were working the property while I was a resident. The last two conditions are not healthy circumstances to be living in. read more

In my opinion, one star is being generous. I have lived here since March 15th of this year, and I absolutely cannot wait to get out! Unfortunately I am stuck here until March of 2015. There's always roaches inside my apartment (which absolutely terrify my 2 year old), there's too many birds that live here and poop all over everybody's cars and porches, the side of the apartment where my door lets out is completely flooded every time it rains, which traps me here. The grounds smell like feces and rotting flesh, the walls and homes smell awful, I leave here and the smell stays on my clothes. I honestly do not have anything positive to say about these apartments. Worst experience ever! read more

Do not recommend moving here! Crazy neighbors and a lot of misleading information as far as what you're getting into when you sign on!

This is not an acceptable complex. I had problems with vandalism and harassment. Nothing was done by the staff. I signed paperwork to be released from the lease and moved out while my roomate stayed. My roommate moved out before the lease was up and now Heritage has fraudulently reported the owed money to me. It's on my credit report and they refuse to remove it. They are dishonest. Do not trust them! read more

My husband and I have lived here since Nov 2013. We enjoy the complex, the neighbors are mature and we are in a Pet friendly building. I have not come across roaches, as another review stated. Maintenance is always prompt. read more

I can not recommend this location. We have had a fire in an apartment, and we personally had a flood. They cut a hole in our wall and it took them three weeks to repair, in our building the outside is very dirty people throw their trash and it is not cleaned. We have had to call the after hours number and if the police are busy they won't come and we do not have on site maintenance so it is a slow response time. read more

Helping my coworker and his family move in today at a place that's suppose to have high praise and come highly suggested. They signed there lease yesterday and were told that there apartment would be ready by 1000hrs this morning and that was a lie, was later told the apartment would be ready in a couple hrs and that was a lie. From the beginning of the day customer service was extremely bad. The apartment they were going to move into smelled like smoke, piss and cats. The management would not accommodate them at all nor budge and make this situation right. I told one of the other guys that's was helping with the move that they need to take a lesson from Chic Fil A as it regards to there customer service. Was extremely embarrassed for the family wanting to move in and absolutely disappointed on how the situation wasn't mitigated. The move was supposed to be about 3 to 4 hrs which ended up taking about six hours. The family was inconvenienced severely along with their kids. I only hope that corporate makes this right. The man hours wasted, fuel expenses, cost of a storage unit which was not part of the plan. Totally unprofessional and much disdained. Good honest people wanting to move their kids into a good situation and now that was taken from them. Don't ever conduct business with this place. read more

Not luxury in any way.Apartments are cheaply made. No counter space. No insulation so you can hear everything in the apartments around you. Any grassy area is covered in dog crap and it stinks in the heat. Management just doesn't seem capable of getting people to comply to the rules or bother to try. People who care about where they live have gotten tired of talking to the office because it's really gone downhill in the last few months. Been here 6 months and can't wait to leave. Parking is just awful and after work forget finding a spot near your building. Keep looking. I wish I had. read more
