I have loved all the food I've gotten here. Breakfast portions are HUGE, and meals here are very cheap (cheaper than the more popular LG7 Canteen). Yes, the meal selection here is smaller than LG7, but the siu mei (Cantonese roasted meats) here is allegedly tastier (but no goose). My meals have ranged from 21-25 HKD.
Many students on campus dislike the egg tarts here, but I actually liked them a LOT, more than the famous Tai Cheong egg tarts, so it is up to personal taste-- Canteen II egg tarts are more creamy/custard like with the flaky crust, as opposed to Tai Cheong's jelly-like consistency and more cookie-like crust. These egg tarts are only 3 HKD, but there are only two batches a day, ~9 AM and ~3 PM.
In the morning, they put out a good selection of buns, which vary day-to-day. I highly recommend their pineapple bun and Italian rosemary ciabatta. The tuna bun was okay, and I would not get their sausage and cheese but again. The buns range from 4-6 HKD.
