The staff here in the spring is overwhelming almost- the service is SO great. Everyone is smiling and happy and eager to answer questions and direct you to various parts of the nursery. This garden center has much more selection than say- lowes, walmart, or home depot. They have tropical plants, tons of small brush and trees, and of course, beautiful season flowers, perennials vegetable and fruit plants and more. The front of the shop also has a pretty large inventory of home decor and trinket items which can be shopped year round, and the holiday Christmas display is very cute. Not as friendly as they used to be. Employees used to offer help but not anymore. Found one plant I was interested in but it turns out it was in the over flow spot. Employee came over and said go back inside. I tried to ask a question but he walked off. Might as well go to big box store for this kind of service. read more

Went into Canoyer for the first time today and it was a good experience! The store is clean, the staff is friendly and I found everything I was looking for today! There's a great variety in this store and it's kind of like Hobby Lobby for houseplants! HOWEVER - the plant condition is hit or miss and very little is tagged in this store. There are signs but they say things like "$15 and up" or there's posters for non specific items but few products (including plants) are individually tagged. I was unsure of how much my items actually cost until I got to the register and was a little baffled at the price point. While I enjoyed the experience of coming in here, I don't think I'm part of this store's target demographic and I'm not pleased with the condition of my (common variety) plant post finding out it was $50 at the register read more

UNBELIEVABLE customer service. We had to cancel our wedding because of COVID19, and instead opted for a small, intimate ceremony on the front porch of our new house. I'm high-risk and since we haven't peaked in Omaha yet, am doing all of the shopping for the ceremony online--talk about FRUSTRATION. (I left multiple voice mails at other garden centers with no call-backs.) Enter Canoyer Gardens. I called on a Sunday night, and Emily and Michelle went out of their way to help us. We exchanged emailed photos of our space and what they thought might work for us. They're even going to pot and deliver our selection in time for our nuptials! You guys--Canoyer Garden Center will get absolutely all of our botanical business from here on out. If you haven't been, go. Friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Lots of selection. Customer service was good. Very clean. It is the largest garden store I have ever shopped in.

I don't have a lot to say - this place is way out of the way and I do kind of like that, but it's also way out of the way. Great set up and staff are really nice - I got to witness a class being presented and it was pretty cool. However, the prices are a little high. read more

I come a few times a year. They have the nicest displays and though their greenhouse is empty, a this time of year(winter) it. has some beautiful garden statues and some tropicals, has holiday plants, a small display, no pic, but I'm sure as dec. 1 approaches they have a bigger amount . People are missing out on this gem of a place , hidden away. I don't know much about their landscape services, but I think you should be knowledgeable about your expectations and work closely for maximum results for your home grounds. I went in looking for sphagnum moss for a terrarium, and they had it. They also had employees walking around without masks. The prices for terrarium plants are twice as expensive as Mulhall's, and they don't seem to value my safety, so next time I'll go elsewhere. read more

I stopped in the Papillion location just to check out what they had. I am new to the garden game and half my flowers and plants died this season so I had some space I wanted to fill. Canoyer was my 3rd stop, the first 2 places I went were so picked through there was practically nothing to buy! Thank God for Canoyer! We spent a sizable amount of money to have our yard professionally landscaped last year. We have experienced some problems, but most recently took a submission of complaint to the BBB to have any action taken whatsoever and no one at this company will contact me personally to address my concerns. Would certainly not expect this level of poor service based on their marketing efforts and how the present themselves. Makes one question the treatment of customers after they receive payment for services rendered. Pretty lacking is my experience. Could have been so much more pleasant if not for that. I won't return or recommend to others for future business and that's disappointing as it's such a nice little business with more potential that has left a bad mark for me. read more

I was planning a large rock garden on the back side of our house and decided to visit canoyer to purchase the plants for the garden. I met with a consultant who planned out the entire area and selected the best plants for us. Unfortunently, one of plants she suggested was a Japanese Shrub Mint. The plant has taken over much of the garden and even has spread under landscaping fabric, river rock and large flag stones. I've tried everything to kill it but it continues to spread. I'll have to dig up most of my garden and start over. According to a local extension office, this plant is a very poor choice for any garden as it spreads everywhere. I spent $1700 and will probably spend this much and more in my time, chemicals and replacement plants. VERY disapointed they would sell this plant knowing how it was to be used. I could have spent half that but chose the "experts" at Canoyer. Very disapointed. Not sure it says I'm from San Francisco as I live in Papillion. read more

The landscaping turned out great! The landscape designer was super helpful, and the crew was more than accommodating. I stopped by the garden center to pay my bill, and WOW!!! The gift shop is definitely something to bragged about. If you cant find what your looking for anywhere else Canoyers is sure to have it! read more

Heard an advertisement on the radio about them growing their own trees and shrubs " locally grown" was also mentioned....Found out that when i went there that they buy from Monrovia Growers and other out of State suppliers . Monrovia is based in California. Did not appreciate them lying in order to try and gain a marketing advantage. Not a good business practice read more
