We played phone tag with each other for more than a month to try to negotiate and quote what needed to be done. This was after my husband talked to the crew while they were working at a neighbor's. We advanced and had a plan. The last word we received in voicemail was that it would be about 2 weeks, as we were on a waiting list, and they would let us know when we were getting closer. Over a month later, while I was on a work call from home, I get a voicemail that they'll be there shortly. This was with no prior notice. I still hadn't heard the voicemail at the time when less than 15 minutes later, trucks and crew show up and start unloading equipment - right at naptime for my two littles. When I go out to let them know that we had no notice, that it was not a good time and my husband wasn't home, John was rude and argumentative. He said that he knew exactly what needed to be done and that most clients aren't home when they do their work. I let him know that is not how we would do business and we would find someone else to help us. They all left in a huff and sped out of our neighborhood. Oh, and I should note they showed up smoking on a windy and higher fire danger day - after John had said in voicemail that the two week (one month) wait was due in part to weather, as they couldn't work with high winds. I definitely don't recommend them.

Bare Root Review…read more Kevin @ Bare Root Landscape has done an AMAZING job bringing our back yard to life! He has the creativity, vision, and know-how to work within a budget to yield high-quality results. In addition, he's one of the most punctual, reliable, and hard working contractors I've ever had the pleasure to know. When my wife and I purchased our home, we knew we wanted something highly functional and "unique to us" for our future yard. We talked with several larger custom companies over the last year, but Kevin stood out from the first meeting. He was able to take our (somewhat vague) ideas for hardscape, outdoor living, etc. and turn them into a cohesive landscaping plan that we can build out in stages. I'm a fan of supporting local, small businesses whenever possible, and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice of BRL for our landscaping needs. I highly (highly!) recommend Kevin's services to anyone in the Tri-Lakes region.

Kevin knew that I was waiting on an estimate from another company. During that time, he was checking in with us every couple of days without being persistent. I would definitely consider using Kevin for any future projects.

She kept me informed every step of the way with clear, consistent communication, which I really appreciated. Just a couple of days later, Kim, James, and Phoenix arrived to do the work--and they did a fantastic job! They removed two large pine trees and carefully trimmed my crabapple tree. Everything was done efficiently and safely. They made sure the space was tidy afterward, and I appreciated how quickly everything was completed. This is a team that clearly takes pride in their work. Professional, kind, and reliable--I'd hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them without hesitation. If you're in need of tree removal or trimming, J & H Tree Services is the team to call!

The little fenced-in area of our backyard desperately needed an upgrade and due to the drought…read moresituation and water restrictions, artificial grass was the solution for us and our little dogs. We found local company, VistaCraft Landscaping and Design, for our project. They are highly skilled, trustworthy and reasonable. (And this new turf is nothing like it was in the past! This stuff looks and feels so real! Little dog approved!) The team was professional, dependable, timely, neat, conscientious, and very easy to work with. All really nice people! We would definitely use VistaCraft again for our next project and wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone!
