The men that came out were very nice and responsive to what we asked for. Matt had come out in Aug 2025 to give us an estimate, and all these months later the company stayed true to that estimate. The only thing I would advise them to do better is when the estimate and the actual project are months apart, to put it on their books to call folks when it's time to schedule the project. But everything was great. They send the invoice a week later to your email and you pay it online or you can send a check. Easy. Also, I would like to mention that they were less expensive than the outfit who trimmed the tree a couple of years ago, so we were happy about that. We will definitely use them again.

We were on vacation so someone from their office called saying we were getting service on XYZ day but we didn't get the voicemail until after we got back. We had went with another provider previous to our vacation but some how Matt's Tree Service forced themselves to do services when were were not home and billed us for these services that we were not witnessed to. This is horrible business practice when there was not even a contract in place and their office person puts you on their schedule. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SKETCHY BUSINESS PRACTICE.

Tree removal was done in a way that did not damage a nearby fence or inconvenience my neighbor. The tree removal and trimming greatly improved the appearance and utility of my landscaping. During the estimate, I was never asked whether I wanted the stump removed; nor was I told it wouldn't be removed. The good: The tree was cut down and removed except for the stump. There was no debris left in my yard. The job was neat. The bad: The stump wasn't removed. They arrived before the time stated on their email, which was fine, but I wasn't home. They were gone before I viewed the work. I called to find out about the stump removal, and received a written proposal for another $175. This review is just to let you know.....if it doesn't say stump removal on the proposal, you aren't getting that!

When he finally does call, he's a pleasure to chat with, and is full of knowledge - however, he never showed up for a scheduled visit to give an estimate - and he hasn't called back since. We had his plow service as well, but he ALWAYS showed up about a day later, either after we already shoveled the driveway ourselves, or after the sun basically melted most of the snow and it didn't need to be plowed anymore (he would still plow and send you a bill). What's the point of having service if it's not timely in any way - unless you don't mind never leaving your house until he finally comes. He raised his plow rates for the 2015-2016 winter season, so with that and his no show for tree work this summer, we cancelled the service. If he does eventually get back to you, it appears that new customers are at the back of list and will be lucky to get quality service - unless you catch him at a time in between jobs. It appears his customer base has exceeded his ability to keep up, and needs to either expand his business or stop taking on new customers and not delivering quality service.
