Excellent communication - Our main contact, Remy Zarate, consistently checked that residents were comfortable with repair windows time slots and followed up afterward to ensure issues were fully resolved. From a vendor's perspective, Springline treats service partners--and therefore its residents--with respect and transparency. THE GOOD - Located very close to University Ave, Palo Alto - Nice outdoor patio area THE BAD - Things break down a lot (water dispenser, bathroom sinks, door handles, furniture, lighting, etc.) - You really need to nag management to get them to fix things (they still haven't fixed the outdoor power outlets) - Wireless printing works about 20% of the time, I consistently have seen people having issues printing - Large events are frequently held and attendees tend to be very loud/disruptive as they walk through the building to the event studio - Refrigerators are always full, usually with forgotten food that gets moldy - The Game Room photo shown on their yelp page is no longer available - iPads outside conference rooms have been dead for more than 1 year and haven't been fixed - Kitchen area never has enough forks, spoons, drinking glasses, etc. - Food from The Nest (ajoining cafe) is catered and pricey as it's only served buffet style - Badge reader on the rear of the building takes two scans to open THE UGLY - The internet connection isn't reliable, I lost count the number of times it has gone down (both wired and wireless), and how many times they asked us to change wi-fi networks - Heating and cooling system always breaks down - I have seen countless HVAC repair technicians come by, but it's usually too hot or freezing in the offices - Several conference rooms are no longer available to use (some of which are still shown in their yelp photos) - A big startup came in and management kicked everyone out of a large co-working space and moved desks into hallways (right outside our office) for the people who had to be relocated - Meeting rooms are hard to book due to the large number of tenants and removal of several conference rooms I can't speak to their ability as an Incubator/Accelerator as we only rented office space. But this place had 3 jobs: Shelter, Water, and Internet. In my time at BootUp it has failed at each one of these things.

However, there are multiple great upsides to the space - I love the garden seating, you can sit out there to take calls and have informal meetings, such a bonus in this beautiful climate. There is good, free plentiful coffee. They support healthy lifestyle choices like plenty of standing desks, good location for walking meetings, bike racks, showers so you can run to work. The location offers private conference rooms, general public space and small cubby rooms for short calls. The accelerator had a wonderful sense of camaraderie and was a supportive environment in which to learn business essentials, and to learn from each other. Outside the accelerator program, the Dojo is a really friendly, grass-roots environment in which people can hang out, do work, and share ideas, and the people in charge of it are very passionate about it. (As an example of it being a friendly place, one of the regulars there impromptu-shared delicious bacon sandwiches that he had just barbequed.) I've grown very fond of it.
