The pump motor quit working So I called up looking for parts and they told me they don't sell parts but they'll sell me a new pump motor. I went to the Amazon website and purchased a 50 MF Round capacitor for $17 I removed the two screws On top of the pump motor revealing the housing for the capacitor I removed the two wires going to the capacitor, discharged it by bridging the terminals with a screwdriver and then installed my $17 Capacitor. turned the power back on and the repair was complete. They knew this. They are in the business for crying out loud.

Out of the blue, in September 2023, they let me know they were raising my rate to 255 a month when I was paying 155. Its not like I own some massive pool, standard size for the neighborhood. I then shopped around and found a company already doing pools down the street that would do it for 130 a month. When I told them about Dependable Pool jacking up my price, they thought it was crazy and ridiculous and that would have been a huge ripoff. Glad I switched, I'm still with the same guys I got then, at the same rate with great service. So if you don't have any idea what you should be paying for a pool service, they are probably overcharging you alot and I would shop around.

He could not get the brown algae under control, I thought of getting a few estimates from Yelp. I got 4 quotes. Only Miguel made an effort to come by early friday evening (July 12) to look the pool over and see what needed to be done. His first observation was the lack of chlorine in the pool. He explained that was part of the problem and causing the algae growth. His quote was similar to the previous company. The other 3 companies did not bother to come and visit. One company requested photos while the other two just gave me quotes. 2 out of the 3 companies quoted $30 to $50 higher per month th what Miguel quoted me. And those quotes did not include chemicals while with Miguel, his quote was for everything. It will be 3 weeks this friday and I could not be happier. The pool looks clean and devoid of any algae. Thank you Miguel.

He showed up and checked my connections and gave me some really useful information about the pump, chemicals, upkeep and future placement of the pool for next year! And he gave me some extra stuff to help me seal the drips I had because he had switched to a new brand for his own work! If I could hire him to do my pool, I would do it in a heart beat! My husband has tried to reach out to Daniel so may times thru text, but Daniel ignores it. Daniel continues to charge us for monthly maintenance and services, but does not service our pool at all. Our pool has become green and now we have to probably find another pool guy. Daniel is not an honest person and the integrity of this company is no longer something that is not valued. It's unfortunate, especially for us as the customers. I would no longer recommend this company to anyone I know or anyone looking for pool service. If I could go back in time and choose a pool company, it would not be this one unless the pool guy was going to only be Scott, unfortunately Daniel doesn't have the same work ethic like Scott.
