This company was good with getting us set up with a water softener for our home. Got us scheduled,…read morecame out and got things installed, the unit has worked fine ever since. The problem seems to arise when you have an issue and need them to be responsive! We are renting the unit - this is an intentional choice and comes from prior experience - we know our water is very hard and needs attending to. We chose to rent knowing that if we had problems with the unit a timely service call was only a phone call away... WRONG! I contacted this company for a service call - the first one we have needed so far - the lady on the phone assured me that they want to get to me as soon as possible! I called on Thursday and she said she wanted to try to get them out before the weekend so we didn't go without water softening all weekend. She tells me they will get back to me that same day about an appt. They do call me later that day but cannot see me until Monday. She felt badly that I would need to wait the few days but that was the soonest they had. I felt like this was very reasonable and made the necessary changes for the Monday appt to work with our schedule! My husband came home from work early to accommodate this need to have a service call during his business hours. We waited the entire 2 hour window that they give for their calls and no one shows up. I called to find out that the service call was actually scheduled for A Monday... but that Monday was another 2 weeks out!!! They told me I had the appt all wrong. How did I do this when they were so concerned about me making it through ONE weekend without soft water - now I had to wait 2.5 WEEKS! I have had to make NUMEROUS phone calls about this situation - each time I am told I will get a call back to get things situated but that call never comes. I am the one who has to reach out. The person on the phone can never answer the questions, they have to contact a different department, for instance, scheduling or service - which in theory is fine, except that they do not call you back. I believe this company has decent products - their softener has been nice for us - however, when you need service they are extremely lacking! Whether that is in customer service in general or the ability to get to their units in a timely fashion to get it serviced, it's been frustrating and undependable! Our unit completely malfunctioned and was running for 24 hours straight, burning up our well pump. Meanwhile we are dealing with terrible ramifications of now untreated water as we wait for service. This extended wait time is costing us as the hard water is damaging our laundry, surfaces, plumbing, etc... Just beware: servicing does not appear to be their speciality and takes at least 2+ weeks to accommodate established customers.

I first had to talk to the Secretary in service who told me Bill would call me to SCHEDULE the appointment in 3-5 business days. Yup! A week to schedule an appointment. After 4 business days I called and asked if I could email or text Bill to get on his schedule of appointments. The answer was oh no! We don't use any of that here. We've been doing it the same way since 1934 and that's what works for us. After 3 1/2 weeks Bill finally came to my home and used 3 test tubes to check my water. Yup, he said, your softener is working! Don't know why your water looks so bad. Don't have an answer for ya. Gave me a bill for $65. What more can I say? I Don't recommend Peerless. I'm calling a Gordon water!

The lady I spoke to had a tone from the get-go. It did get a little better when she realized I was ordering something. I was told someone would be here between 9-9:30 today. Today, at 10:37 I called to find out where they were. And again...the lady that answered had a tone from the second she said hello. I told her the guy didn't arrive as scheduled. I was told, "we haven't scheduled anyone in 20 plus years for a specific time". Okayyyyy, guess my son and I are both imagining things. Then she told me that they don't have us in the system at all. I told her that I have been paying them monthly for a water softener. She finally found me in the system, but at that point, I just decided we were not going to be doing any business with them. Not because she couldn't find us in the system, but 2 days in a row, I didn't appreciate the tone I received. It made me feel unappreciated as a customer. I asked to speak to the manager, Kathy. I told her the situation and told her that her reps are the reason she has lost this account. She said, "Let me know if I can do something to change your mind". She only said that because she had to, you could clearly tell she didn't really care and definitely didn't mean what she said. I do not appreciate getting treated like I'm a bother to them. When I called back to schedule the removal of the water softener, the lady that answered was friendly. Not sure if it was a different person or if boss lady said something about talking to customers a little nicer. Bottom line...it wasn't the mistakes that caused me to cancel, it was the way they spoke to me.

He also picks up and delivers our bottled water often on the same day! We are now very thankful and will not divulge more but rather leave our review as it is after working with Besco for many many years, but we are in Vicksburg and could only get pickups and deliveries once every 4 weeks and it was extremely difficult to manage that being retired and having many appointments and work around their extremely limited availability to deliver and pickup our 6-12 bottles each time and the newest driver came quite early around 9:30 ish and we shutoff our phones for charging every night and wearing full face CPAP Masks and very hard of hearing, let's just say we are extremely spoiled by Gordon Water and our wonderful salesman who will come at anytime we say we will be needing more water soon and he is very flexible and asks me when? I let him decide but that translate to him saying, "How about today between 1 & 2:00?" (So rare for these times we are in) Thank you Gordon Water and Jamal!
