Would I get a refund if the Doctor did not certify me?

I'm not sure about a refund, but I will say that if you have a medical condition that you feel would benefit from using cannabis and can communicate that, then you will very likely be approved. I didn't get a sense that they were turning many people… Read more

Wow! I am an oncology patient and have been seeing Dr. Z and Megan for over a year now. The Dana…read moreFarber Palliative Care team highly recommended Dr. Z and referred me to him. I was a person that grew up with fear of drugs (blame Nancy Reagan & Tipper Gore LOL), especially cannabis. Dr. Z and the NP Megan have explained the use of various cannabinoids and specific terpine profiles that I am FINALLY able to have some relief! I have been able to get some sleep at night, which is AMAZING after years of insomnia. I have learned about how to use the least amounts of THC and be able to function with less pain during the day-- This is what we are currently working on, and it's been eye opening. It's an incredible balance of science and art. I feel like they have taken the time to understand my specific situation, developed a plan, and based on our zoom conversations/appointments we have been able to figure out which strains/profiles have the best outcomes for specific situations/times. I don't want to feel HIGH, I want pain relief and to be able to eat properly. ECS Wellness -- Dr Z and Megan have made my life a much happier one. Trust the process, follow the plans, AND keep asking questions. They will get you the relief you need!!

I called to make an appointment and was informed that the doctors have offices in several…read morelocations. I was given an appointment for the very next Wednesday in Fall River. I was also informed that, as a Massachusetts resident, I did not need to take any medical records with me, but it wouldn't hurt if I did. I personally took a listing I got from my primary care physician noting my diagnoses and current medications. The only thing you must take with you is a valid ID. They charge $150 and accept cash or credit. When you arrive at your appointment, they will have you fill out some forms. Information requested includes demographics, e-mail address (required for MA residents), medications and conditions, emergency contact, etc. It also asks if you have used or are currently using cannabis and if you find that it helps your condition(s). There is also a pain diagram. After submitting my forms, I waited about 40 minutes before being called in to see the doctor. He was very kind and went over my paperwork to confirm that I had a qualifying condition (or more than one). Some examples of qualifying conditions include chronic pain, depression, fibromyalgia, anxiety, etc. The consult took about 10 minutes. The doctor also explained the rest of the application process: 1. THC submits the information and the doctor's certification to the Massachusetts Medical Use of Marijuana Program ("Program") site; 2. Within 24 hours, the Program sends the applicant an e-mail with instructions on how to set up a username and password and finish the application process. The application fee is $50 (this is in addition to the consult fee); 3. The application is reviewed and, if approved, a temporary card is sent by e-mail and can be used while the physical card is mailed. I really didn't know how to go about doing all of this, but THC made it very easy. The support staff was friendly and helpful from beginning to end and the doctor was super kind and encouraging. I have already referred a few people to THC and will continue to do so.

This is a review for the Somerville location as it doesn't have its own section…read more I have never seen a more easier process than THC (see what they did there, haha) It started with an email to set up an appointment. I got a call not long after to confirm it. They see people on Saturday's all day. The place was near Union Sq. I would suggest arriving a bit early as parking can be a pain. However that's the only rough part! The rest as I mentioned before is insanely easy. I walked in and was greeted promptly. I filled out some paperwork and gave to the secretary who also takes payment which can be in debit/credit cards. Was only a few min more before the Dr saw me for a brief consultation. He asked me some basic questions to fill out an additional form. After signing a few lines, Presto, I was approved. A nice gentleman gave me some literature on my way out. The instructions were very clear and I felt 100 percent satisfied. This is one of two steps to getting approved . The second step is an online registration process through the MA health department which didn't take too long Easy to follow and finish. After that it's just waiting for them to approve and send you a temp card which you can use right away. A real card will be sent to me a few weeks or less after that from what I was told. So with that being said, THC is the ideal choice for getting the medical help you need. From beginning to end, the process is probably the most simple and streamlined I've ever seen. I think other agencies like the DMV/Post Office should take notes! This is how you do it.
