However his bark sounded so raspy, like he's been coughing for days. They were too rough, pulling him with a prong collar, while I was there. I didn't really like that. However, my biggest thing was before my pup came, he didn't mind other dogs, he was friendly when they would come close, but he didn't care about them when he would see them on walks, at dog parks, etc. Once I brought him back home from training, he was extremely reactive to other dogs, and he had never done that before. I cannot take him on walks or dog parks without him getting nervous and barking at other dogs. I'm not sure if it's an incident that happened while he stayed here but my dog has not been the same since the day I picked him up from here. Overall, I wouldn't recommend bringing your dog here, my pup has had a traumatic experience that to this day affects us.

They teach the basics, as well as pass on these steps to the owner for the life of your dog. Whats also included in a 2 week package is meeting with you at home or in a public setting to go over what your dog has been trained plus pick up on anything the dog displays in a different environment. If you plan on boarding your dog for a vacation, bring them there! They board and train your dog, for the same price you'd spend to bring them to a vet. We needed to get our pup in as soon as possible and though worked with us on getting her in sooner than originally scheduled, a huge help to us when dealing with a puppy! My favorite thing, they work with therapy training your dog! If you have a need to have a specially trained dog to work with you for a specialty or handicap, they can help you! Another plus, we needed affordable but we needed a trainer to teach our pup the best way possible. If our dog can pick up on what she was trained on, plus we can stack onto that training from learning how to train ourselves, then it makes sense to go somewhere that teaches us how to do it. As our pup grows and matures, I can see having her go back as I want her to progress onto more difficult things. KCTC has an understanding of how dogs think and act and they pass that knowledge onto you , the owner so you can work with your dog smarter and continue on with the training at home. Having the option to reach out for advice as needed or training on more advanced levels is great to have if we ever need it. Some places can take your pet for very long, extended periods of time which can be tough on family members who will miss them too much. Short spurts of training for us was perfect, they offer 3, 7 or 2 week training and with that, I am sure they are flexible if needed. Lastly, if you are military, they honor you for your service!

We got back to Sac and she said he wasn't ready yet and that an additional week would only cost a small amount extra. We agreed because we didn't want to hinder his progress. When we got our dog back he was matted! He seemed frustrated and angry. I took him to 3 dog groomers and one refused because he peed himself out of fear right away (something he hadn't done before). He only knew a few commands and didn't know them well. Basically she got him to do things by yanking on his leash and he would do them out of fear. What I realized was that the 3 + weeks my dog was away he was neglected and any training that was done was negative reinfocement and didn't work (I really don't think much training was done at all). I proceeded to teach my dog more commands using treats in one night than this woman did in 3 weeks. Please avoid this woman at all costs

We met at pet smart and did socialization training and how to walk her confidently. I could not praise this lady enough. Our dog showed tremendous strides. I think if we hadn't been stationed out of state with her help we could have completely gotten her issues under control. She truly knows her stuff about dog behavior. She did not show one bit of hesitation when our large German shepherd lunged at her. I am not sure who actually wrote this review, but in my opinion and experience with her, there is NO way it is true.

We highly recommend The Ruff Trainer, who has not only done an excellent job in training our dog, but also in training us.

After speaking with her briefly, it was evident that she was very knowledgeable based on the questions she asked about the behavior and temperament of our Dog. After discussing some of his behaviors, she offered many training suggestions for him that she would be able to provide during boarding for an additional fee. We never really considered the aspect of training our Dog professionally however, after hearing her explain as to how she could help, we agreed to board him for a few additional days to work on heel, stay and his overall anxiety. After his time spent with her, we immediately felt as if he was a different Dog. She met us on the last day of training and walked us through in detail, everything that she discussed so that we could continue his work at home. She even offered additional lessons at no charge for further maintenance! We would highly recommend Ariel at Midgard K9 Solutions to anyone looking for a boarding solution or any scale of training for their dog. Her prices were reasonable, and we felt as if the level of service received was nothing short of exemplary!

One of the trainers at Liberty K9 came highly recommended and I now know why. Our dog was not vicious, just happy and eager to please. So eager she insisted on doing everything her way. She would not listen to any commands as she was too busy jumping on people. Walking was very difficult because she pulled on the leash and she is a strong dog. After a board/train session it is like we have a different dog. Sit, stay, come are all listened to and given the proper response. Last night the Mrs. took Brandie for a walk up the street. First time she has been able to do that since Brandie came into our lives. 2 doors away from us is a home with a little yipper and 2 greyhounds that started barking very loudly inside. Brandie looked in that direction but never put tension on the leash. When Renee moved on Brandie was at her knee. Same thing at the next house with a dog that really needs some training. Barking causes Brandie to look but she never pulls. This morning the Mrs. decided to try to make the end of the street so some traffic would be involved. On the way back a neighbor who knows (or knew) Brandie very well called out from his porch and the Mrs. told him it was ok to approach. This is a man who would come into the house and Brandie would wag her entire rear end while jumping and licking the whole time he was there. When he approached Brandie began to make a move, the Mrs. said NO and she sat back down. He put out his hand and then began petting Brandie who allowed it all without issue. He left and the Mrs. continued her walk with no pulling from Brandie. All of this was accomplished when the temperatures were well above safe for outdoor activities or raining. I can only imagine the results if more of her stay could have been productive time. Do we now have a military grade service dog? No, what we have is a great family pet. A pet safe around the grandchildren. A pet that is conditioned so that we can continue training and improve the situation daily. I honestly do not see how Liberty K9 could possibly disappoint you.
