Loved this little park and stumbled upon it in our travels across the country. A little hard to find, you need to turn right on the first street, not the second. There is ample parking and you just walk up the steps to the park. Plenty of sunshades. Nicely kept (some dog owners could do a little better picking up after their pet). Nice dogs. Pretty nice Dog Park, I drive here from the base because I don't like Bullhead and the meth-heads around I-40/Eubank make it somewhat unwelcome. They did open up one on base but I like going here to see people other than those affiliated with the base, they have more knowledge about Albuquerque. They Keep the bags stocked and everyone that is there is pretty friendly. I wouldn't recommend it for very small dogs, there is only one area and the dogs can get pretty big....stay on the porch, as they say. read more

Great park for all sizes of dogs. Although, they don't have a separate area for teeny tiny dogs. At this park everyone plays together, so don't come if you are a freaky over protective Mama that drives everyone crazy because you're running around scolding other people's dogs that are well adjusted, but 20x the size of your little guy. What I especially like is that the Owners actually pick up after their dogs, so the run area isn't covered with poop! Oh, and please don't be that person that expects other Owners to poop patrol your dog's 'business'. My 3 boys love this place and most Owners are friendly and happy to be there with their furry bestie! read more

We took our 5 month old pup for his first trip to a dog park. Was not quite sure what to expect. He doesn't exactly have the best manners yet and really likes to jump up on people so was a bit worried. He did amazing! Mostly because of the great other dog owners that were there. I really like going to the park. It's the only place my dad can really launch my ball and I can run free at full speed. Sometimes I run so fast I trip and fall. But I get up right away and keep going. The soft bark feels good under my toes. I really like the water fountain. Sometimes I hog it. It's very refreshing. I wish there were more benches for my mom to sit on. Sometimes she sits on the wall but other dogs come by and try to pee on her. That gets me upset. It's nice to see other friends there. I like to watch them play when I'm taking a break from ball catching. -Barley read more

Fantastic park! One of the nicest here in Albuquerque. Please note however, there is only one large area no separation of small and large dogs. Also the entrance to the park is on Spanish Brit St NE not on Landau. There is plenty of parking however so no worries there. There is running water for dogs and people, and lots of wood chips, no grass, and several shaded areas some with seating and some without. There are several stations with poop bags and trash cans. It's also really nice that there are some communal toys, ropes, balls, and a Frisbee or two. All the people there were very friendly and there was a lot of chatting happening. I'll be back to this park and can see making it our regular go to! Enjoy! read more

I really like this dog park. It is located in a nice area of town and everyone who goes is usually very friendly. The bags are always stocked and for the most part the park is always pretty clean. If you have a smaller dog, I would not recommend going in the afternoons. In my experience the dogs that go at that time are pretty big and can get rowdy-- all in good fun but smaller dogs can get stepped on pretty easily. I have a corgi and I have found that the early morning crowd on the weekends usually has smaller dogs and it's a little bit calmer. Overall, it's a good dog park! read more

Been bringing my New dog Thunder, a brindle mastiff to the park for almost 2 weeks now. He loves it here. He's getting good attention and learning to socialize with other dogs and people. Thunder is a rescue that was found as a stray. He was a little apprehensive of people and dogs when I first got him. The dog park has been so good for him. The only problem I have had with Thunder was with this husky that came twice while I was already there. Some Hispanic woman with two huskies. Her oldest husky came up to my dog with dominating body language, hair standing up on its back, being stiff, sizing my dog up. It then mounted my dog and at first my dog put up with it. My dog growled at the husky but the dog didn't take the hint my dog did not want that. So my dog turned and got on the husky. I had to pull him off. I asked the lady if her dog was spayed. She said it wasn't. I told her she was going to have issues with her dominant behavior partly because of her dog not being spayed. She left the park. Two weeks later, my dog hasn't had any problems with any other dog since and I come almost every evening. Tonight I was there for about a half hour my dog was chill just hanging out with the other dogs and this husky came right up to him and it was the same husky from two weeks prior. Again sized up my dog and my dog got on top of this dog again. I got my dog off. Seen the other dogs owner, sitting on the bench not doing anything. As I proceed to get my dog on leash. This lady of course puts all the blame on my dog. I got in an argument with this lady. She was totally ignorant. I had to leave. I guess you will find those people occasionally at the parks. Dogs will not always like each other but everyone has to pay attention to what's going on to avoid problems. read more

Great park, great people, great time. Has shade and lots of space for activities. Good place for dogs of all sizes! Usually has a plethora of tennis balls, friendly dogs and welcoming pet owners. read more
