The Owner, Diane is personable as well as very good with handling the pets and ensuring your pet's health issues and general issues are met with care. I have 2 standard poodles that I usually groom myself. Occasionally life gets in the way and I have needed help. The ladies at canine design have always been more than helpful and do a great job. The price is more than fair and they work quickly so the dogs aren't unduly stressed. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there's don't trim quite as short as I would like, but I understand why, as folks are quick to blame the groomer if dog has a razor reaction read more

Wish I could give negative stars !! Took my goldendoodle puppy here to get groomed(she was just 5 months old) and the lady's in there were VERY impatient with her. I explained that she gets very nervous and needs a little TLC to get comfortable with new people. After them assuring me she would be fine, I left but then received a call back from them 10 minutes later telling me that my puppy was being aggressive and trying to "bite" them.. so when I arrived back to the groomer, they had her locked in a small cage with a collar they provided(including her harness that she had on prior to the appointment) that was so extremely tight, I couldn't even put one finger through it ! This place is horrible and they treat the animals with no respect ! The new groomer I use now has never had a problem with my puppy because she was patient with her, and my pup actually loves going there ! read more

I brought my dog Ellie to Canine Design for her first grooming thinking that I was bringing her to professionals. I had stopped by twice before just to make sure that my Ellie was going to be In Good hands. They told me they would take special care of her, she had a great thick coat , so she would be so cute when I picked her up. I was worried but I trusted them. When I went to pick her up they had completely shaved her, even her head, she's a 4 lb baby, she had a few mats on her underbelly but these people should have contacted me before they completely shaved her, It doesn't take a skillful groomer to shave your dog down to the pink In her skin. I could have done that for free. Also they said she had fleas, my dog was just checked by the Dr for her shots and he said she had no fleas and no dry skin. The fleas must have jumped on her in the back where they kept her for 3 hrs waiting. Again I repeat she is a 4 lb baby!! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO CANINE DESIGN!!!! I first took my dog to them and received very good service everyone was friendly. On my second trip because we were not aware our dog had a flea issue were treated rudely my dog was treated like the Typhoid mary of dogs. Many of the staff acted as though they had to close the store dog and decontaminate the entire store and all the dog. Nothing was handled discreetly or professionally. I will never take my dog back there. read more

So furious!! Not the first appointment, for my dog. They have dealt with him before. I grant you he isn't the most cooperative during a grooming session, but again, They knew this!!!! Made an appointment last week for today. Arranged my schedule around his grooming, only to arrive on time and be turned away!!! it was "too busy to deal with him today, Bring him back next week" I was told. Sorry, I didn't book your schedule, and I had an appointment. The kicker was when I complained of the inconvenience, they could care less! Well, how about not coming back next week or at all?! Not only did you loose the business of 1 dog, I have 6 between my daughter and me. They lost all 6 I get maybe you didn't want him with all the dogs, then don't make the appointment on a day you are overbooked. better yet, don't over book that means no one gets the time they deserve. I had my Scotties groomed here and they did an excellent job! The staff was very friendly and treated my 2 "kids" with love! This was the first time I had left them anywhere and they were very happy when we picked them up and not racing to get out the door!
