Unfortunately, after…read morepaying for the service today my husband was told that they can't groom him anymore because he's too large...and referenced his weight which was 20 pounds more than his actual weight. Over the course of all the times we have taken Bear to be groomed, it was never relayed to us that his size was an issue. And then to top it off, she asked if he's on a plan to lose weight!! How unfortunate to not only state an incorrect weight but to imply that our dog is overweight is so unprofessional. What has changed over the year or so we've been taking him? And they're relaying this information as his nail is badly bleeding from them clipping it too low. We have never received any feedback or concerns with Bear until today when we were told they're done grooming him. He is a Great Pyrenees, which is a very large dog. His back aligns with my hip when standing next to me. What changed over all these months? No warnings, no feedback...just attempts at fat shaming. Guess what Gordon's..you guys aren't a vet. You guys are rude, unprofessional, and just downright wrong.

They were very communicative and when I showed up, the staff was awesome in person as well. I added on a bath cause everyone was kind and I felt I could trust leaving my pup with them. I wish we had something like Gordon's where I live- but for now, I'll continue to stop by when I'm up there!

Mostly every weekend I would get live mice/rats, however I noticed something weird about a rat I had purchased, thought it was just a spot but come to find out their rats have fleas. It was a MASSIVE flea, which it takes time for a flea to get big. I knew at that moment this is why I have been battling fleas with my three cats for around 8 months because I had never in my life of owning cats have had that issue. Also probably why my ball python who never rejects has been rejecting. Told shop owner about fleas, they said they don't have fleas and all they could do was give me another rat, ( that probably had fleas too ) or my money back for the rat. I was more concerned of the fact Iv spent hundreds of dollars trying to help my poor cats stop itching. Plus my hungry/annoyed ball python. Stop going there all together. I now go straight through a reputable rat/mouse breeder, they are always healthy, plump, and are treated for fleas. Soon after I switched I was able to get rid of the fleas, my ball python is eating again, and I get rats/mice for a quarter of the price. Win win after all of the stress I guess.

I visited your store with the intent to inquire about purchasing one of your jumping spiders. Upon…read morearriving at the live animal section, I searched for an available team member to assist me but was unable to locate one. I then walked to the checkout area and waited in line behind a customer who was completing a transaction. I was the only person in line behind him. While waiting, an older woman approached and attempted to cut the line to ask the cashier a question. I politely but clearly stated that I was in line. She acknowledged me, stepped back, and I proceeded to ask the cashier if someone could come assist me at the jumping spider enclosures. The cashier appeared to radio for assistance via walkie-talkie, and I stepped to the side to wait for a team member to arrive. What followed was unacceptable. While I was patiently waiting, the same cashier then turned his attention back to the woman the same woman I had already addressed and helped her with her inquiry. I then heard him apologize to her, though I am unsure of the reason. He then directed her to go speak with a female employee near the spider enclosures the very same employee I had been waiting for. This meant the woman who had attempted to cut the line ahead of me was now being assisted before me, as a direct result of the cashier's actions. When I recognized what had happened, I asked the cashier directly: "So, did you get someone to help me?" He confirmed that yes, the employee near the spiders was available to assist. I then pointed out that he had just directed the other woman to that same employee. His response was to essentially acknowledge the mistake with a casual "oh yeah," and then he turned away from me to speak to a coworker without offering any apology, any correction, or any further attempt to assist me. At that point, I made the decision to leave the store entirely. I should not have to advocate for myself repeatedly in what should be a basic service interaction. I waited patiently, I communicated respectfully, and I followed the proper process yet I was overlooked and effectively ignored in favor of a customer who had not been in line ahead of me. I want to be clear: this is not about a minor inconvenience. This is about a blatant failure to follow basic customer service protocol, a lack of acknowledgment when the error was pointed out, and a complete absence of any effort to rectify the situation. This experience has left me feeling disrespected and unwilling to return to this location. I had planned to make a purchase that day and am now forced to seek assistance at an alternate location or competitor.

This review is not written lightly, and it's not about being "upset" -- it's about accountability…read more We adopted a cat from this Humane Society after being told the cat was healthy. Within weeks, the cat showed worms, blood-related health issues, and ongoing medical problems that were clearly present before adoption. That alone is unacceptable. What made this experience truly awful was how it was handled afterward. We contacted the Humane Society multiple times asking for help. We were told we would receive a call back -- we never did. We called again. Still no real help, no solutions, no follow-up. Just silence. When we pushed for answers, instead of support or responsibility, we were blamed. We were told we "should have gone to a specialist" and then informed that we are banned from adopting from this Humane Society ever again. That response is shocking, especially considering this situation exists because we were given a sick animal under the claim of being healthy. We are now being forced to return a cat we became emotionally attached to because we cannot afford hundreds of dollars in vet bills for conditions that should have been addressed prior to adoption or at least disclosed honestly. This review is directed not just at staff, but at management, board members, donors, and the community: * Why are sick animals being adopted out as "healthy"? * Why are adopters ignored when they ask for help? * Why are adopters punished instead of supported? Adoption should be about the well-being of animals and the people opening their homes to them -- not deflection, silence, and blame. I strongly encourage leadership to respond publicly and explain how situations like this are handled, because based on our experience, there is a serious lack of transparency and compassion here. Then to finish it all up when the cat was dropped of they said nothing , took the cat , the paperwork , and gave the carrier back.

When a woman named Jenny contacted me this morning, the conversation started off kindly enough. She then proceeded to tell me that my application had been denied due to financial difficulties, including bankruptcy & issues in small claims court. I told her respectfully that I have most certainly never filed for bankruptcy, nor have I ever had any issues in small claims court. When I let her know there had been an error, she cited a criminal charge I had gotten over 6 years ago. An unfortunate mistake I have long since paid for & moved on with my life. I now own my 2100 sq. ft. home that I share with my 3 young children who were really hoping to add a feline friend to our family. Such a disappointment, because I know we could've provided a kitty with a safe & loving home. We still plan to do so, there are kittens all over in need of good homes. I'll just have to pay the extra money to have him/her vaxxed and spayed/neutered. Too bad it couldn't have been one of the kitties locked in cages at your shelter :'(
