I went there yesterday and they told me that they will do the Gel extension for me. They were very unprofessional and didn't have work ethic at all. I asked them to design my nails and paint a small flower while coloring but they refused to do and on top of that they started yelling at me and saying that they don't have time and they have more customers to take care of, although I booked one hour for my nails. At the end, my nails gel extension (almond shape) design was not good at all, the size of my nails are not the same, one of them are long and another is short and it's not well rounded. I don't recommend this place at all because they don't know how to behave with a customer. Beauty industry is all depend on the customer and if you behave like that and your service is really bad then you got no customer at all. read more

All I can say is, WOW! First of all, I am new to the area and after speaking with various people about where they get their nails done, I decided to just go by some Yelp suggestions and reviews. With that being said, Candy Nails is exactly what I was looking for. Please know ahead of time, it is by APPOINTMENT ONLY, which I loved because I never felt rushed, the salon was not over crowded, and I had a wonderful, relaxing experience. It is a small salon, owned and operated by Tiffany and Tony who both do incredible nails. The salon is clean, peaceful, and if you do SNS/ANC or Gel, there are more color choices than you can ever go through in a life time! I received an SNS dip powder, and pedicure by Tiffany. One of the BEST pedicures I have ever had in my life. She shaped my nails and cut my cuticles, and painted my whole nail! It is clear that they take their time and are super talented and dedicated to their customers. I highly recommend Candy Nails and this will be my new nail place in the Hudson Valley! read more

i will be reporting this business to NYS. I loved this salon for years. really, years. since 2018 i've been a loyal customer and have spent thousands there. but I will never be going back and will be doing everything in my power to drive people away from this place after what happened to me today. I had an Appointment for 12 tomorrow and a last minute issue came up with my babysitter. I called Tiffany to re schedule. immediately she told me no open spots. then started SCREAMING at me. screaming!!! saying i'm disrespecting her time and her business, and that because i've asked to reschedule she refuses to do my nails now. then she HUNG UP. I called back. she picked up then hung up. called back again and asked, I just want to know; why am I not welcome back? i've been a loyal customer here for years now, i've always adored your work, this just is not right. all because I had a scheduling conflict? I even called over 24 hours ahead of time. to all that she said, i'm not arguing with you. and she hung up. i'm left in tears now because i've lost a nail tech of 4 years in a very unexpected way. when I tell you--I NEVER would have expected this behavior from Tiffany. I even offered to pay her RIGHT NOW on venmo for the reschedule of my next appointment, she hung right up. gave me no ability to compromise or anything. I am disgusted. i've never been treated like this by a business. extremely unprofessional and shameful that she lashed out on me this way for a reschedule. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE AN APPOINTMENT ONLY ESTABLISHMENT, YOU NEED TO EXPECT YOUR CLIENTS TO RESCHEDULE SOMETIMES!!! and you should NOT turn them away just because of that. I am a single, widowed 24 year old parent so of course there's times where things pop up. and this was a TERRIBLE way to treat a client. i'm appalled and sickened. I will be reporting this business to NYS and will be telling all of the friends i've recommended to go there--to stop going immediately. My all-time favorite nail salon. I've been to others in the area and stopped getting my nails done for a couple years after a bad experience at another place. It's appointment only here so I never feel rushed, and they do an amazing job. I got tips with the SNS powder and so far they're holding up perfectly and feel much lighter than gel or acrylic. I'll be a repeat customer here! Tip- back into the parking lot, or park on the side of the building because it can be hard to back out of. read more

Just had the most amazing dip powder manicure and pedicure on my first trip to this salon. My techs were thorough and did beautiful work. My manicure was exactly what I wanted and the tech took the time to really understand what I was looking for. I truly can't get over how perfect the nail shape is and how even they look. First time in, my best friend goes all the time. Got a powder manicure, my first (ANC? drawing a blank on the acronym). Very friendly, explained to me why it's considered better for your nails than gel. Fairly quick process. They filed my nails square, my fault for not paying attention but I wish they'd ask because I HATE square and prefer round. I have my nails files round so I feel it logically follows that I would want them round but next time I'll just ask. I also wish they'd done a better job sort of tidying up around my nail beds. But very friendly, efficient, and other than the squareness my nails look great. I'll definitely go back. TV on in background, something I really don't like about some nail salons. I don't mind if they are muted but the noise of a TV is not at all relaxing. $35, I have no idea if that is a typical ANC price or not. Don't park directly in front of the store unless you're able to back in because it was a nightmare getting out. My bestie was in the know and parked off to the left side of the strip. I stopped in here once before when my usual salon was closed and they said they were too busy so they couldn't help me. I heard this was a great nail salon so I went back yesterday to try again. They took me right in and the man who did my nails was nice and did a great job. I just wanted the dip powder I had on taken off my nails and regular clear polish put on, so not complicated, but still done well. A great experience and I will definitely go back!! read more

I love this place! I moved to MA but still come back here when I visit Hyde Park to see family because they offer the SNS/ANC dip; it's a powder alternative to gel manicures. No UV, dries so fast and makes nails so strong! I highly recommend giving it a try. I even brought my entire bridal party here the day before my wedding for mani/pedis. They were so nice and accommodating of our large party. The staff is always very friendly. I only knock it down a star because it's small. It fills so fast and there's not a lot of waiting room. They had so many colors to choose from, the SNS didn't require any UV light, and it looks so much more natural than traditional gel/acrylic. Absolutely beautiful. Clean and professional, no wait for a fill this evening. Paid a lot of attention to detail and made sure they were neither lumpy or too thick. Very natural looking and I didn't leave with acrylic and polish all over my hands. Found my new nail shop. Amendment - I feel the need to amend my original review. Less than a week later, my nails started chipping and cracking. Corners broke off, I had delegation underneath and chipping up around my cuticles. I take fairly good care of my nails, and this was just unacceptable. I has such high expectations after reading other reviews and seeing pictures of their work....but I will not be returning. read more

I have searched around for awhile for a reliable nail salon and I am happy to say I have found that here. Tiffany and Tony are very friendly and welcoming. They keep their salon clean and organized. They are appointment and cash only which some many not enjoy but it is extremely worth it in my book to have a quality manicure or pedicure. Would not recommend this salon, we were going for the past year. One day in July my intellectual disabled daughter only wanted to get her toes done not her nails. I let the owner Tiffany know right away and asked if this was a problem, she said no problem. We sat and waited as it took an hour for her to get her toes done. Went up to pay and verify our next appointment, this is when we're shamed for not calling ahead of time. I tried to explain not that easy, she only just told me as we were leaving, we live 5 mins from salon. I was then scolded and told now I have no one to service, I apologized and thought they were kidding when they said next time you will be charged. I was so upset didn't really know what to say left in emotional tears over the situation in front of other customers. Today 8/19/19, I called to confirm our Wednesday appointment and to see if the could get my mother in law in. This is when I was told you don't have an appointment, I stated yes I scheduled it on July 3rd, I was then told we removed you because of your last visit with your daughter. A clear case of discrimination against my intellectual disabled daughter, this goes against American with disabilities act. The prices are pretty good and I'm pretty satisfied with my acrylic nails but I end up staying there for about 2 hours till they finish.
