Admittedly I wasn't as excited but the artist, Shalva Yaro, was passionate and seemed like a good person so I trusted her. Unfortunately my baby and I got COVID-19, this was communicated as my baby and I had to spend time in the hospital. Well the last message I had received from her was that they could do the 20th of October but someone had booked the middle of the day so it may be pushed to November. I was okay with either but then I never received and responded to any confirmation on a decision being made about what day and time the appointment would be on. Fast forward to the 19th, and she messages me acting like we confirmed for tomorrow. When I responded with "I'm sorry I'm confused because nothing was set, sorry I've been out of all weekend still sick" she threw the biggest hissy fit having zero regard for the fact that no appointment was confirmed. Needless to say I'm glad I didn't waste my time being her guinea pig just for her to not be professional, confirm appointments, nor have any regard for quarantine, illness, nor children. Not a good human being and happy to never give money to a business that proudly employs people this unprofessional. Don't waste your time or money.

I followed my hairstylist from a big salon and I have always spent a lot of money on items in the salon and on my services for my hair and nails. They greet you immediately when you come in and check you in. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes for my stylist to come get me and get started. They have handicap parking, and accessibility. I was charmed by its quaint, cozy feel with the rescue pup who brought me his toy. In the end, however, I didn't. Two things left me underwhelmed. One, the haircut. It was not cute, and my hair isn't difficult to cut and style. The cut was uneven and choppy. The stylist didn't check her work and instead asked me to run my hands through my hair to see if the cut was even, including the back of my head. This is hard enough with long hair, and even harder with short hair. In past haircutting experiences, this has been the stylist's job, so it threw me. I walked out with a weird haircut. Two, I felt like I had been tossed into the 1950s with the bizarre racist comments the stylist made. The words "Injun" and "Boy" were used - no Joke - to describe a fully grown Indian man. It was stunning. To be fair, I don't think the stylist said these things out of malice - it felt like she was operating at her best awareness - and if it was the 1950s, it would make sense. It's not the 1950s. So, it made no sense. Needless to say, I won't be back.

The entire 2+ Hours I was there I had to listen to bombastic political commentary. Regardless of where you are in the political spectrum a salon should be a calm, respectful place to relax and get pampered. Hearing homophobic, racist, hateful dialogue between multiple stylists and multiple customers is not my idea of a good time and not how I want to spend my time.
