When you enter, the first thing you will probably notice is the many frames on the wall which are representative of Roberta's many paintings over the years. If you are to come in for just a haircut, you can expect receiving 1st class treatment and Southern hospitality. Her focus goes into providing you with a wonderful haircut while also sharing the moment of great conversation. She loves to hear the stories of her customers, and she has plenty to share of her own. Truly a Jacksonville icon. The REAL fun of her Salon, is that you can walk into the room next door, and enjoy an experience of being in an art gallery. Everything in the gallery has been hand-painted by the SAME woman who cut your hair. Everything from Still Life paintings, Portraits of Presidents and State Representative, influences from her favorite painters, as well as a wall of rewards and accomplishments. She is truly a living diamond of the Natural State. She also does commissions too! Also, If there's a painting you really like, she can also provide a very affordable print of it. She also understands that Arkansas weather can be brutal out there so don't leave thirsty because she has happy to offer a free soda or a bottle of water. Very rarely does she forget to offer so it's no problem if you feel the need to ask! You can expect 5-star treatment, as well as a great experience when you come to Roberta's Salon-122. Give her a call anytime and she would be happy to set an appointment. If you're in a rush and your nearby, feel free to stop on by because she does take walk-ins. Call her today! Seriously!

Not to mention her affordable pricing and amazing hospitality! :) What I love is that once you are finished with a haircut, right next door is her GORGEOUS art gallery. Not only is she an artist with your hair, but she creates magic with a paintbrush. If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would.

Today was my first visit to Swank Hair Studio in Little Rock, AR and I'll admit I was a little…read morenervous--you never know what you'll get when trying a new salon. I chose Swank because it's a faith-based business, and I loved that their website shared not only their values but also the stylists' bios and photos. Everyone looked like they genuinely enjoyed working together, which gave me confidence. I booked with Avery, and I couldn't have made a better choice! I hadn't had a haircut since Covid, so my hair was long, fine, thin, and very straggly. Avery greeted me warmly and helped me get settled (I'm currently in a wheelchair, and the salon was very easy to access and navigate). She listened carefully as I explained my concerns about my hair being thin and falling out despite supplements and oils. She shared her own experience with hair loss after Covid and recommended a product that helped her. Seeing her gorgeous, healthy hair gave me hope! We also discussed shampoos for frizz and fullness, and she suggested one she personally uses. She cut my hair and it was absolutely FANTASTIC. My hair feels lighter, fuller and looks great. I couldn't be more pleased. On top of that, I learned she also does wedding hair and makeup--which is perfect, since she'll now be doing mine next year! The atmosphere at the salon was welcoming--Courtney even chatted with me when I arrived and while I checked out, which was a sweet touch. Even though it was later in the day, I felt like I got the full experience. Highly recommend Swank Hair Studio to anyone new in town or looking for a fresh, friendly, faith-filled salon experience! I cannot say enough about Swank.

Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreValue: 5/5 ----- Recently, my stylist (Lindsey) moved here, and so I had to come visit and leave a review! I've reviewed her before, but long story short -- there are only about a billion good things to say. Headwaves has a model where each stylist has a little station within the salon, and they manage their own schedules and are generally more independent than at other salons. I personally love that model, because the service you get feels more personal. It's definitely a lot quieter and less busy than a lot of other salons that are open-plan layouts, so if you love that, this is the place for you! I love knowing that everything I pay for at the end of my visit goes directly to my stylist. I've been with Lindsey for years, all through college and now grad school, and even though I live in Dallas, I only schedule hair appointments when I know I'll be home in Little Rock. I've followed her to this new salon, and I would follow her anywhere! She's so good at knowing what I prefer, what looks good on me, what products are best for my hair, etc. We do cut and color almost every time, and I think she does a great job at balancing trying new things so I don't fall into a rut with my hair, while still keeping the basics strong. She's also great at helping me find products that work well and are worth their price tag. I would LOVE if she decided to relocate to Dallas, but for now, I'll keep making the 5 hour drive.
