I had taken the day off and drove from Barstow to Victorville specifically for this appointment. When I arrived for the new 4:00 PM time, she was still working on the previous client. At 4:21 PM, I was told she would call/text me when I could come inside, so I waited in my car. By 5:07 PM, I still hadn't been called in. At that point, it had been over an hour since the rescheduled time and more than three hours since my original appointment. I texted that I couldn't wait any longer and requested my $54 deposit back. She called me at 5:08 PM saying she had just finished and I could either come inside or receive a refund. I chose the refund because I had already waited long enough. To her credit, she was understanding and canceled the appointment through StyleSeat. I understand appointments can run behind, but this was excessive. I had already accommodated a two-hour delay, drove from Barstow, and then waited another hour after the rescheduled time. For a $180 service, I expected better scheduling and communication. I can't speak on the quality of her work because I never received the service. This review is strictly about the scheduling and overall experience. I appreciate that I was given the option of a refund, but losing several hours of my day after making the drive was very disappointing.

The appointment started promptly, which was great. However that was the only thing great at this appointment. After washing my hair, Carly informed me that the quoted price included 3oz of product and any additional product needed would be $90/oz. Carly said she would try to stretch the product and may only need 1 additional ounce. I consented. Carly proceeded to apply the product to my hair in sections and added the additional ounce when needed. Then told me she needed a 2nd additional ounce on top of the 1st additional ounce. I consented because the service was already underway and product was in my hair but I wasn't very happy with the bait and switch pulled. After that instead of blow drying my hair as is the next step in a traditional keratin treatment service, she proceeded to rinse out the product from my wet hair... the additional product that I paid $180 on top of the quoted price for because she said she needed it. Seems like a ploy to upcharge the service and make more commission. Anyway she blow dried my hair after rinsing the product out then proceeded to flat iron my hair in sections rather quickly and distractedly as she was constantly texting on her phone. After the service was complete she didn't recommend any post care instructions and still seemed distracted by something on her phone. Overall the service and professionalism could have been much better. I really wanted to like this salon since I'm new to the area. Also, I'm writing this review a day after googling and using post care tips (which are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT) and my hair is already frizzy Not Worth The $585 at all.

He made a host of assumptions and rudely and aggressively communicated them. He also assumed that the extra charge would be some kind of problem for me. I asked him to explain again because I couldn't figure out what point he was trying to make to which he said that he "cant have his girls going over into the next booking slot and he didnt want me to be surprised when they charged me extra".
