Studying with Candace has grown my depth as an actor immeasurably. I have also grown as a human in ways I never thought possible.

Cute space! It got my attention when I parked in the area to run some errands!…read more My first thought was: I wish I could have learnt how to sew his way! So much cuter, nicer, better. Back in the day, in the Old country, it was tense, stressful. But I learnt something and I can mend clothes to this day. Useful skill! Since my friend's little daughter wanted to learn how to sew, I got her a couple of lessons here as a birthday present. Reviews were good! She liked it a lot, learnt some and she'll go back. Had a nice time with Miss Shannon and liked her a lot. Classes for adults as well, reasonable prices, check the site for the schedule, call or drop by to see the enchanted world inside!

Oh man. I don't know exactly where to start because I have so many good things to say about this…read moreamazing little shop. First and foremost, I have not one sewing bone in my body, and sadly my grandmother is long gone as that was her niche. My pre teen had been asking for years to learn how to sew and I finally stumbled upon Miss Shannon's class when a few moms from a mom group I'm a part of recommended her classes. From the start, Miss Shannon has been nothing but welcoming. You need to email her to get class info as you aren't able to schedule classes online. I like that though because it's nice to actually talk with the owner and ask any questions you might have. My daughter has had Bella as her instructor for a few months now and my daughter just loves her. We do bring our own sewing machine because my daughter also uses hers at home and it's nice to really learn the machine you'll be working with. They do have sewing machines there for your kids to use though. The first class they teach you how to use the machine, how to thread it, how to make a bobbin, etc, and you will make a cute little pillow. The second class I believe the kids make a tote bag, the class after that project is completed you'll make a pair of pajama pants, and the class after that project is completed you'll make a heavy duty sewing bag, which was my daughters favorite project because she's able to fit her sewing machine and other materials in that bag to bring to class. You will need to bring your own fabric for the tote bags and pajama pants and any other projects you have moving forward. Right now my daughter has been enjoying making different shirts in class. We get the patterns off of Etsy and the projects are completed in class. I saw one student was making a cute little romper. My daughter looks forward to going to class every week and loves Miss Shannon and Bella. They create such a great working environment and aren't afraid to nix any negative energies, which I really appreciate. It's important for these kids to work in a positive environment where their creativity can flow. These two truly care about kids and teaching the art of sewing to the next generation. Right now it is $38 for a two hour class. Payment info is posted inside the shop, or you can ask Miss Shannon directly. Venmo is the preferred method. There is street parking and there is a lot behind the shop, but I've never parked there so I'm not sure if that's a lot for customers or not. These are also drop off classes as the shop inside is pretty small so it's really only big enough to seat the students. I will park my car out in front and read for a couple of hours instead of going home and coming back. I also really appreciate that they lock the doors during class, which is added security for everyone. If your child wants to learn how to sew or wants a safe space to work on their sewing projects, this is the right place for you to be.

"I had the good fortune of not being successful immediately."…read moreIt's coming from the legend, Jack Nicholson. Yes, he's my idol. Not being rush is a sign that potential to success because " Acting" is a craft which I consider learnable skills. You need to persuade it & you need to keep up with it in order to continue growing. Acting - It's not going to become an abundant lush fruit tree if you neglect it half way through the growth phase. Our strength lies in multiple things though, it's highlighted in doing things that enhance your abilities such as activities, resources, and researches that will enhance you in advance of the career of your choice. An effective cold reader is active listener and attentive observer. I solely learned from 1st generation teachers; Steve Wangh ( Grotowski), Wendell Beavers ( Viewpoints) and Claire Chubbuck ( Chubbuck's technique). I ain't have any doubt about how to hit any curve balls on Camera or on Stage. Regardless of how, audition and cold-reading is another game and yes, in order to get the job, you've to go through it. It's insane if you want to be in the industry. RaeAnne wholehearted teaching style as whom is completely engaged but not only overly wrapped up in her students' lives, and also understand and acknowledge their needs. You could feel hand-on learning experience in the class that rare chance to get it in any Hollywood studios. As an actor, we just need someone that confidently awkward. If so, this is the place to be in this RC Acting studio at Valley Village to lean a successful cold-reading. Remember ! ! ! Christian Bale still driving Tacoma 2003 model and living in his dream as Hollywood mega star. Sometimes everybody's got picked something or someone up. We don't need to lost in LA LA LAND. Friends of mine even have any social medias but she's been worked side by side with Joaquin Phoenix, Tye Sheridan & etc. An actor is a thespian, so don't forget to bring yourself, your techniques and your passion from there the rest will be history.

This class has been absolutely invaluable to me. RaeAnne offers so much to her students: most…read moreclasses include a business check-in; some kind of technique teaching and discussion; then either a cold read or prepared scene from the prior week; and once a month, an on-camera class with an opportunity to shoot something for our reels. I love the business check-in, where she makes sure each student is on-track with their own personal career goals, no matter what stage we're at. I find it incredibly helpful to have some kind of homework each week to keep myself on task -- these can include both scene study as well as business steps - either things she noticed about my reel or actors access profile that could be updated, or footage I need to prioritize getting, or where to look for specific types of jobs. She is 100% not a gatekeeper of information, and truly wants and helps her students succeed. She talks openly about her own experiences and what we can all learn from them. Her class also incorporates warm-up exercises: either breathing, or quick improv/movement to get us engaged with our whole bodies. Cold read classes and prepared scene work are usually done in pairs, where we get about 20 minutes to work together before performing in front of the class. On-camera scene choices are sent out a few days ahead so we can choose and prepare one fully memorized and dressed for the part. Taking RaeAnne's class has been so informative and fun, and I am so happy I found it!
