The staff have always been friendly, compassionate, and communicative. My son was in classroom 101 with Miss Julie and Miss Vichiny. He absolutely adored attending classes. And the teachers were so caring, they even came to see him act in a non-school sponsored play. Most importantly, my son was never, ever made to feel he's scholastically behind or socially problematic because of his larger-than-average emotions. (We left a previous private school for this reason.) Second most importantly, he was taught to read children's books and do impressive pre-k arithmetic! I still get a thrill watching him sound out words! Most children are not taught to read until at least the first grade. Challenger is unique and way ahead of the curve in this way. It's such an educational gem in Las Vegas - I wish I could tell more parents about it! The tuition is more than worth it. We also love how Challenger isn't afraid to shake up routines and get creative with the kids. They changed their policies to only require uniforms Mondays and Tuesdays. This was good for my son because - with his anxiety - he can get a little too attached to certain habits and structure. This forced him to be more flexible and go-with-the-flow, even if it was only regarding his school clothes. Unfortunately, we did have to pull our son out a couple months early because my husband and I both got laid off from our jobs at the same time. That said, it was the best introduction we could have ever given him to education. He'll be miles ahead of the other kids he's going to be attending public school with in the fall. Hot tip for you ultra frugal parents: Check local swap, sell, and exchange apps for other families selling their used Challenger uniforms. It can save you bundles of money!

We were waitlisted for Angel Face and started in 2022. It was worth the wait!…read more We now have two children in the daycare program and we love it! We can't say enough good things about the staff and communication. As a new mom, I was nervous to send my then-18mo old into a daycare but the teachers alleviated my concerns. I still remember the first day when we dropped him off, I received a video of him *not crying* and singing with his new classmates, within 15 minutes. The teachers work hard to take care of the children and I can feel the love they pour into each student. The staff are extremely patient. We have a picky eater and Ms. Chrissy and the teachers worked to get him to eat and really encouraged him to try new things. The teachers make every effort to get kids to engage and get along. They address all my concerns and work diligently to prepare my pre-k student for kindergarten. I love to see his writing progress and his vocabulary explode! We love all the updates and newsletters. We especially love the pictures and videos the teachers send. I love the app we use to communicate and receive updates for the kids throughout the day. While this location is small, I also think it adds to the family feel and all the teachers know the children/parents. I feel safe sending my kids to this school and do not hesitate to recommend them to future families. Honorable mentions to Ms. Kimmy, Ms. Britney, Ms. Nini, Ms. Ana, Ms. Cassie, Ms. Lauren, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Mel, Ms. Mailie, Ms. Kayleigh, Ms. Angelina and Ms. Hope.

Overall though, they seem pretty decent and want your child to succeed, even offering free after school tutoring. Some were very quick to respond to emails, some you would wait 1-2 days before hearing anything back. As far as homework load, that seemed fairly balanced. My child didn't have much trouble getting it done. My only suggestion would to be to switch up the semester Science projects. It was the exact same packet and project choices, for five years. They never did anything different and by grade 8, my child was mind numbingly bored with the same options. Next: bullying and drugs. Bullying is absolutely not tolerated here. Shout out to the Vice Principal, Mrs. Chipman, whom nips it in the bud with a quickness. They also have zero tolerance when it comes to drugs and are swift to react to any incidents. So high kudos for that. School events; a few are themed and very cute, others thrown together with very little thought (especially this last year). There would be only a couple days notice to the day before the event. It was strange. Graduation for 8th grades was not well executed either; no enforcement on the 4 tickets limit given so everyone that wanted to, attended (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, you name it). They ran out of seating quickly due to this. It was unfair to those that followed the guidelines and they never addressed it. For a school that is so stringent with kids regarding rules, that was a bit disappointing to see. Next up, the front office... if you're lucky enough to catch them on a good day, they can be very helpful but again, that is a mixed experience. Catch them on (regular) bad days and they are dismissive, short, and rude. As someone who has to make calls throughout the day at my job -and- taking in consideration that I'm sure they deal with a few unpleasant parents, I'm always polite, not once ever calling with an attitude. It doesn't seem to matter. And God help you if you get ahold of Alisha; the rudest, most foul tempered of the lot. How she still works there is absolutely beyond me. If I spoke to clients the way she does to parents, I'd be fired in an instant. It got to the point that if I heard her voice answer, I would just hang up and try again later. Last but not least, the emails. I get that they need to keep people informed but the frequency that they send them is just obscene. I'm not joking. It's -at least- three times a week and the timing is so random. Sometimes you'll get them at 2pm and sometimes you'll get them at 5pm, 7pm, and up to 9pm. Weekends aren't safe either. They really need to learn to reel that in with designated frequency, days, and times. It gets overwhelming quick and it's easy to miss updates. Overall, it's an okay school but needs some restructuring, especially the front office staff.
