fantastic service from the service manager Moeed and employee saad tech 90. highly recommended, thanks so much

I wish to commend two staff members in the auto service department at Canadian Tire St. Thomas location: Moeed and Doug. On June 15th I came in with an unusual request. A garden hose and spray nozzle (both purchased a while back at the store) had become tightly fused together. I could not twist the nozzle to remove it with my own wrench and pliers. These two fellows tag-teamed to use their specialized tools to release the nozzle without breaking it or the hose coupling. I deeply appreciated the cheerful, prompt and effective service for my request. --Steve Clarke read more

I had the most awful experience going through check out. The young girl cashier was extremely rude and almost knocked my ornaments onto the floor. Did not even budge. She then threw the receipt at me. I have never experienced this kind of rude behaviour before. She needs to be reviewed on how to treat customers. When I told her to have a good day she was very sarcastic with her response. Questioning on whether or not to spend my money there anymore especially with how expensive everything is. read more

Worst service. Stood around for 20 mins in the sports section. Asked the desk to send someone over. 20 mins later guy shows up looks at me and walks off. Sexondaly ordered a set of summer tires was told id be called when they got to the store. No call. Try calling auto parts to order anything they never answer the phone just hang up on you. This place is a joke read more

I needed some sun screen and a couple other items to take along to the race track yesterday, so I popped in, asked at the service desk where to find everything, and a few short minutes, I was on my way. It has been years since I visited a Canadian Tire store, and I was impressed with the amount of items they carry! Camping equipment and barbeque items, outdoor sports and all sorts of automotive parts and accessories, as well as tires! Very nice store, very nice employees. read more

I put in an order on line, they gave me a time it would be ready. My husband waited for over half an hour longer for them to tell him they couldn't find it. And then they made it sound like it was my fault for sending him to the store before I got the email saying my order was ready. It was to be ready by 10, they only realized at 10:30 they couldn't find it??? read more

A few years ago we tried to return a product that was eventually pulled out of CTC because of a faulty design. We were called liars, and made to feel like idiots. Bottom line we were unable to get our money back but we were given a store credit. It was an item over $500.00, but I did not want to spend a penny in that store again. As a last slap in the face the manager was walking away, he turned around saying " I would never buy that item for my house" NEVER buy anything at the St. Thomas store that you may need to return. Each store has their own policy for returns. read more

20 minutes on hold trying to get the garage for booking an appointment. Customer service kept putting me on hold telling me they would be right with me. Finally another dept answered, telling me the garage closed an hour ago. Way to go customer service. I will not be back ever. read more

I had an awful experience trying to return an item in St Thomas. I had the rudest Customer Service employee I have ever experienced. She really needs to retire or move on because she clearly does not enjoy her job, customers or fellow employees. After waiting in line for about 5 minutes, while the customer service employee berated a new employee because her till didn't balance, it was finally my turn. I was met with the same friendliness that the new employee was met with, zero!! And then was told that my unused item was in fact used, after arguing that the item had never been used, so she basically called me a liar. I ended up not returning the item just so I could get out of the store ASAP and get away from Miss "Friendly". Thank goodness there a new number of stores that sell the exact same items as Canadian Tire so I can spend my money elsewhere. read more

The Canadian Tire Store in St. Thomas is set up like a jail and definitely not handicap friendly. I arrived at the store the other day and held the swinging gate open for my handicapped husband and an alarm went off. The checkout line or the means to exit the store is ridiculous. Your are expected to exit through this line whether you have a purchase or not and even if you are handicapped. The other day they opened the gate near Customer Service through which we were going to exit the store. We were told by the unfriendly customer service person that this isn't the way to exit the store even if you are handicapped. I held this gate open for my husband once again and another alarm went off. I will shop at this store as a last resort. I would rather drive to London. read more

Try having more than 3 cashiers on a Saturday at noon. When the line is 12+ customers long, something is wrong. Not to mention having to move every time someone decides they can't wait or can't find what they want and tries leaving without buying! read more
